Sorry. I got sick over the weekends. Just started writing today. I'll do two more chapters tomorrow.

Chapter 104: Quirky.

[Hyde POV]

I checked the system notification after the episode ended.

[Episode 1 season 3: Reefer Madness

Original Rating: 8.5

New Rating: 8.3

-0.2 Rating points owed. The internet would be shut down for 2 days.}

"Damn it." I cursed slightly.

The system however, seemingly had evolved. It gave me a timeline now.

[1 day and 23 hours before the next episode.]

"Oh this is great. I can plan my time easier with this."

I checked the episode, and there was some Bob moment I missed out on.

It mainly focused on the other four kids and Bob. I watched it and chuckled a little bit. It centered around Jackie and Kelso having an argument, and Bob tried to give them advice, talking about his relationship with Midge.

While I was sitting in the basement, Kelso and Laurie walked downstairs together.

"Hyde. We're going to make out here." Laurie said mischievously. "Get out."

I groaned and said, "Why don't you go to her room?"

"Red's upstairs, installing smoke detectors in Laurie's room." Kelso replied. "He said if she smokes, he's going to be able to tell."

"I can just shut it off when he's gone." Laurie rolled her eyes.

I shrugged, not really caring about their problems and left the basement.

"Make sure to disinfect the couch once you're done. I don't want to catch anything just by sitting on it." I said seriously.

Laurie stuck her tongue mockingly at me as I got out the door. I drove my car to handle several businesses today.

First, I went to the autoshop. There was a new shipment of cars that came today, and I wanted to test out my master engineering knowledge on them.

It was already 5 in the afternoon, and I have to be quick about it. Instead of using appraisal, I tried to check the car problem using the diagnostic tools.

"Hmm. Nothing comes to mind. I thought I had the master level knowledge–"

Before I could finish my sentence, the information pocket inside my brain was cracked open.

Suddenly, my mind was filled with knowledge about cars. From 1920s cars to 2020s cars, I knew how to fix all of them.

"Still, using appraisal will be much easier." I shrugged and ignored the information.

I just needed to fix up the car. I didn't need to build an entirely new engine.

There were 50 cars, so I used 50 system appraisals to figure out why these cars were sold off cheaply.

Then, I listed out what to do with it on a piece of form, which I handed it to my mechanic. It works as guides for them to fix up the cars.

They just needed to follow it to make the car start up again.

"Hey. My sister told me something weird today." Megan said as she took the guides.

"What did she say?" I asked curiously. "Also which sister?"

"Talia. She said you told her to be your girlfriend?" Megan was confused. "Are you two dating now?"

"Oh. I told her to pretend to be my girlfriend yesterday. I need to make Jackie back away from pursuing me. We're going to watch a movie together tonight, so if something happens, I'll definitely tell you." I smirked.

Megan wasn't amused and said, "Well… You're going to be disappointed. Talia is never interested in dating. She loves art, and movies. That's it."

I nodded and said, "That makes sense."

"She's a bit… quirky. She might say something weird, so do me a favor and just… ignore it. Like, don't encourage her when that happens."

"Huh?" I was confused. "It's like you don't want your own sister to be happy." I teased.

Megan was embarrassed and snapped at me, "Of course I want her to be happy."

She rolled her eyes and said, "You know what? Do whatever you want. But just know, I'm not going to get in the middle of it. I'm not going to be your messenger, your complaint center, or anything else!"

She stormed off angrily.

I looked at her with disbelief and said, "Is she on her time of the month? She's very weird today."

My next stop was the printing office. I edited some flyers for a few Chicago businesses and more flyers from K-Mart from different states.

"That came to a profit of 300 thousand dollars." Max reported the earning while inhaling sharply.

I sat on the boxes and boxes of flyers. "That's great. Randy, what about the Chicago branch?"

"We can open in two days. Are you going to be there for the grand opening?" He asked excitedly.

I shook my head and said, "No. I'll be busy with my film editing. But I will support you from here."

Randy grumbled slightly. "You're the most offhanded boss I've ever worked with."

"It just means I know how to delegate to the right people." I laughed. "You're bringing everyone there, right? What about the Madison branch? Especially near the college campus."

"It can be open next Monday. After the music festival." Randy replied.

It's already Monday, so there's less than 5 days before the auto festival.

I had already sold 15 thousand tickets for the festival using some newspaper ads in Sheboygan, Kenosha, Green Bay, and Point Place.

I sold tickets for 7 dollars each, but it included the auto show and the concert, not just the music.

"Boss, should I buy a new car? What do you recommend?" Randy asked. "I need to commute a lot."

"A Toyota." I smirked.

His face contorted in disdain.

"If you have a lot of money, buy a house." I chuckled.

Max giggled and interjected, "Or marriage."

Randy scoffed and said, "I'm single. Why should I care about getting married?"

"Same brother." I high fived with him. Max stared at us with a disdainful look in her eyes.

That night, I went to see Goodbye Girls with Talia.

She wore a Rolling Stone t-shirt with jeans, styling her hair into a bun. I was wearing my Led Zeppelin T-shirt, so both of us were wearing black right now.

I waited for her at the lobby of the cinema.

"Hey. We're late." She said as she checked her watch. We were one minute late because of her.

"We're missing out on the trailer." I replied with a smirk.

I was teasing, but she took it seriously. "Sorry. I'll make it up to you."

"It's fine. I set up the trailer, so I already know."

She nodded and we walked to the ticket counter.

"Do you still have the tickets for the Goodbye Girls?" Talia asked the employee.

The blonde employee– Chloe, glanced at me secretly, gulping her saliva before she replied with a creaking voice, like a boy who's undergoing puberty.

"We– We still have tickets for that– Uhum–"

Talia touched her throat and told Chloe, "Just do it like this," she cleared her throat to give Chloe an example.

Chloe cleared her throat a few times and spoke professionally now, "We still have a lot of seats for that film."

"Give us two tickets then." Talia said calmly and took out six dollars.

The tickets were 3 dollars each– 25 cents more than normal ticket prices, but people thought it was worth it since the movie experience here was amazing.

"Do you want to stamp your card?" Chloe asked.

Talia nodded and gave her the membership card. It has 10 spots on it, and if she could get it all stamped out, she could get a free movie ticket.

Talia was already on her 10th. She could watch her next movie for free.

"It's only been a week since this place opened. You're already on your tenth movie?" I was surprised.

Talia nodded with a soft smile. "They have amazing audio."

She didn't explain further. But I get what she meant. My speakers were much, much better than any cinema halls in the world right now.

At the concession stand, the employee there tried to give us popcorn for free.

"Why?" Talia asked, confused.

The male employee glanced at me and said, "It's just for our loyal customers."

"Just charge us." I sighed at him.

He was taken aback and stammered, "Um… That will be 3 dollars."

We got inside the hall and sat at the back. The hall was three-quarter full which surprised me since Goodbye Girls has been in the cinema for 2 months now.

The movie started straight away as we got inside, missing out all of the trailers.

We had 3 movie trailers at the beginning of the show. A trailer for 'Close Encounter of the Third Kind', 'Julia', and Shannon Tate's film– 'Encounter'.

Talia watched the movie without even turning to me until the story ended. It was the same when we watched movies at her house.

She was 100% focused on the film. That's fine with me since I needed to watch the movie too and learn what made this movie win some awards at the Oscars.

However the movie annoyed me instead. I really didn't like the two main characters in the movie.

They were adults, that acted whiny and cumbersome, and had no principle. Sometimes they acted like teenagers. There were two thunderstorms in the for the cringy/romantic scenes.

Once the film ended, Talia finally spoke. She asked, "What do you think?"

"Eh. It's nothing special." I shrugged.

Talia nodded and said, "They talked so much."

"They really do." I agreed with her instantly. "It's filled with one liners."

"The kid talked like an adult. It's giving me the creeps." Talia added.

We had quite the same opinion about the movie. "Do you want to watch another movie with me?" She asked.

"There's only Star Wars and Death Race left tonight." I replied.

She thought for a bit and asked, "Want to go back to my place?"

"What movie do you have?" I asked teasingly.

"I want to watch Enter the Dragon. Do you have the tape?" She asked me back.

"I do. The subbed version, not the dubbed one." I replied.

"That's fine by me. I don't like dubs anyway. Their lips don't match." She nodded.

We went back to my place to grab the VHS tape, accidentally bumping to my friends who were hanging out in the basement.

"Hey Hyde." Eric greeted me first. "Is that your girlfriend?"

"Yeah. Meet Talia." I replied. "That's Forman." I pointed at Eric who was sitting at my spot. He waved his hand at her.

"Kelso, and Fez." I pointed at the other two. Both raised their hands and waved at Talia nonchalantly.

"Wait. Are you watching Enter the Dragon?" I was surprised when I saw the movie being played on the TV.

"Yeah, we're borrowing your tape." Eric laughed.

Kelso frowned and whined. "This isn't fun. I can't follow their dialogues."

"You mean you can't read." Fez interjected.

Kelso turned to Fez, face full of anger. "Shut up Fez!"

I turned to Talia and asked, "Want to pick another movie?"

"Sure. Let me take a look at your collection."

Kelso laughed and interjected, "He only has a collection of dirty movies."

Fez snickered too. Forman widened his eyes and tried to back me up, "It's not dirty movies. It's just movies that are… um, artistic."

I frowned and said, "I have a lot of movies. Not just the X-rated ones."

Talia snickered for the first time and said, "It's fine. I like to watch the X-rated ones too."

Kelso and Fez finally turned to her. "You do?" Fez asked, his hormones were bubbling up.

"Want to watch it together?" Kelso asked.

Eric smacked the back of Kelso's head instantly.

"Ow! What did you do that for?!" Kelso whined.

Talia replied, "I'll have to decline. I like to watch X-rated movies, back at my place… alone… and naked."

"OOO–" Kelso and Fez exclaimed, fully turned on.

Talia turned to me and said, "Should we go now?"

"We should." I smirked and led her to my room.

"Wait! We want to watch the movie too!" Fez begged.

"Aww! Wait. I know. We can ask Laurie." Kelso realized it. "I'm sure she'll be fine with watching the movie naked with me."

"Can I watch too?" Fez asked.

Kelso snickered and said, "It's a movie, Fez. Of course you can watch it. There's no law preventing a foreigner from watching X-rated American movies."

"Dumbass." Eric scowled at Kelso.

Inside my room, Talia began picking the movie from my VHS collection.

"You have a lot of them." She commented, her eyes glittering slightly.

"120 movies." I smirked and sat down on the bed. She was rummaging through the black container next to my closet, squatting next to it as she compared the movies in her hands.

"Which is better? Monty Python and the Holy Grail, or Dog Days Afternoon?"

Both of the movies she picked were 1975 movies.

"Monty Python is really good. I've never seen Dog Days Afternoon. It has Pacino in it, right?" I asked.

Talia turned to me and nodded. "Should we watch Dog Days Afternoon? I can borrow the Monty Python movie and watch it tomorrow."

"It's cool. We can watch Monty Python together." I shrugged.

Her gaze furrowed slightly. "But then I can't borrow Dog Days Afternoon. Since you haven't watched it."

"Half of the movies in that box, I haven't watched yet. I'm not going to be greedy about it. You're bringing them back, right?" I asked with a soft smile.

She said seriously, "Maybe."

I furrowed my eyebrows slightly.

She stood up and said, "Let's watch the movie now."

We watched them without speaking to each other again. The story was quite long, and it was past midnight when it's over.

Talia slid off the bed. She yawned and said, "I'll go back now."

"I'll give you a ride." I slid off the bed and approached her.

"No, I can walk back." She shook her head slightly, not wanting to be a bother.

"I insist. I always bring the girl back to her house after a date."

I smiled.

She froze for a bit. "This is a date?"

"Is it not?" I teased.

Talia wasn't amused and got mad at me.

She snapped, spitting out words like a machine gun, "If we're going on a date, tell me it's a date. Don't just say 'we're going to the movies', and then get mad when I'm watching the movie!"

I snorted slightly. "That had happened to you?"

"A lot!" She replied, exasperated. "Then, they bitch about it to their friends."

I saw her balling her fist up slightly as she was recalling the memories.

"You have been keeping it bottled up for a long time, huh?" I teased slightly.

She continued her rambling. "For date, bring us girls to dinner. Not the movie. Then, the boys will try to touch me at the cinema. Who in their right mind would do that! That's a public space! So dirty. So… open!"

"Really?" I raised an eyebrow slightly. "On the first date?"

"I don't know. We went to the movies a couple of times." She shook the question off.

I laughed and opened the car door for her. I closed it first before going to the other side.

She kept expressing herself as we drove to her house.

"Then, I got a reputation for being the weird kid in school because I don't want to become a public exhibition. No one asked me out for the entire year." She sulked.

I laughed and said, "They are crazy. You're not weird."

"Thank you." She huffed and calmed down slightly. "Sometimes they look at their crotch and like, trying to tell me something."

"Like how?" I asked.

"They ball up their fists and move them like this." She moved her hand up and down a few times. "So I hit their crotch like that. They screamed and pushed me away."

She had no clue even when she was telling the story. I could see it in her eyes. It made me burst into laughter while I was driving, almost swerving my car.

"You know what that means?" She asked.

"Yes." I calmed down slightly.

"What is it?" She asked.

"They were asking you to jerk them off."

"Huh? Why would they want to be shaken? And it doesn't make any sense to do this gesture." She repeated the same gesture.

I laughed again.

"Am I a weirdo for not getting it?" She asked seriously.

I calmed down."I mean, you're cute. Not weird." I flirted.

She was taken aback and shot daggers at me. "Is this a line? Are you trying to get me to bed? I'm not an easy girl to get."

"Are you waiting for marriage?" I asked casually.

She thought about it and said, "No. But the first time should be special. Definitely not in a car, in the movies, or in a dingy motel room."

I laughed and said, "So that eliminates everything a teenage boy can afford."

She looked at me with a scrutinizing gaze.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"Trying to see if you're doing something to my body. Megan said I can know if I'm being 'turned on' by a guy." She lowered her gaze to my crotch.

"Like, what? What are the signals Megan tells you your body will make?" I asked curiously.

"Breathing heavily. But my lungs are still clear."

"That's not–"

"She said, I can get clammy hands. Or butterflies in my stomach. But my hands are all clear. It's a little cold. But it's not clammy." She touched my cheek with her cold hand.

"That's because I have an aircon in my room." I replied. "What about the butterflies?" I asked curiously.

"I have no idea what that's about." She replied with frustration. "Can't she be any clearer here? Do I feel the flap of the insect wings? Or like, I ate a butterfly?"

I snorted slightly. "It just means your stomach feels weird. But not in a diarrhea type of weird."

"Oh." She exclaimed curtly. "I still don't get it."

"I mean, the easiest way to do it, to see if you like someone, you can just picture them naked."

I was trying to tease her, but her reply made me shy instead.

"I've done that a couple of times. While I was masturbating mostly."

I stopped the car in front of her apartment. "Really, who did you picture?" I turned to her in anticipation.

She nodded and asked, "Is that weird too? I feel like I'm not supposed to tell you it's you."

I froze for a few seconds.

"No. Not really." I shook my head and laughed. "That's not weird at all."

She furrowed her eyebrows and mumbled, "Did I do something wrong here?"

"No. You didn't." I leaned in close to her and asked, "How was I in the picture? What am I doing?"

"You're shaving wood, while topless. Sweat dripping down on your body." She painted me a picture. "Then, you hammer…"

"Hammer?" I was at the edge of my seat.

"Hammering a nail… into the wood. Like over… and over… and over…" She breathed heavily and fanned her face slightly.

"That's the thing Megan is telling you about. That's the heavy breathing." I told her.

She widened her eyes and said, "Really?"

I laughed and glanced at her slightly. "Do you want to go on an actual date tomorrow?"

Taken aback, she blushed and said, "Like. A date-date? That ends up with us in bed together?"

"Let's see how the day goes. What type of date are you looking for? I can use that as a guide for tomorrow." I said.

"Hmm." She thought about it and said, "Dinner. Amusement park. Walking in the rain."

"Okay. We can go to Funland tomorrow. Then go to dinner."

"Great. Don't wear shorts." She said curtly.

"I'm not wearing shorts. Ever."

"Good. Because I can't see men in shorts. It makes my hands curl." She touched the door handle before turning to me again.

"If that's a date, I should kiss you first. Maybe a french kiss?"

"Okay." I agreed easily.

She leaned in close and pressed her lips onto mine. But only her lips.

"That's it?" I asked.

"What? Did I do something wrong?" She asked, confused.

"You said you're french kissing me?" I was confused.

"I think people in France kiss the same way people in America do." She snorted and left the car, waving at me.

But I got out and walked her to the door. After making sure she got inside safely, finally I went back to my bedroom.

[Edward POV]

The heavy snow, which had fallen nonstop since last night, kept piling up. After I finished taking care of the livestock, I went back to the ranch.

"Luke!" I called.

Luke was playing with his game console inside the house. Without turning to me, he said, "What?"

"Let's go play outside," I said, putting on a winter jacket.

"No. I'm playing games—"

Before he could finish, I picked him up by wrapping my hand around his waist and kicked the door open.

Claire was startled when she saw it and quickly rushed toward me, Phil following right behind her.

"Edward—Luke didn't wear a jacket yet—" Claire picked up a winter coat for Luke. However, her eyes widened as she saw me holding Luke by his leg and spinning him around.

"Eddy—" My grandma saw it and went aghast.

Luke's cheek rippled from the fast speed. Then I let him go. His body flew into the air!

His eyes went blank as he didn't expect it. Claire's jaw dropped as she saw her kid fly five meters into the air in an arc.

Alex snapped a picture quickly. She managed to take the picture when Luke was at the top of the arc.

Luke yelled in horror, and then fell into the thick snow. His figure was unseen. Only a human-shaped hole remained.

"LUKE!" Claire called out in a panic, trenching through the snow without a jacket to check on her son.

Suddenly, Luke's head popped out of the snow. He laughed and said, "That was amazing."

Phil turned to me and said, "Edward! Me next!"

"Sure! Edward's trebuchet launch is open for business," I replied simply.

Then I spun Phil next and released him too.

"Oh my God, what kind of winter fun is this?" Haley's eyes flickered in confusion as she watched.

"Lu—Luke! Wear a jacket!" Claire said as she threw a jacket at Luke, who was just wearing a shirt.

She sighed and said, "Edward. Be careful—"

"Get her!" Phil caught Claire, and I grabbed her feet.

Her face fell as she mumbled, "Oh no."

Then I spun her around.

Claire's eyes rolled back from the speed, and then I threw her up into the air.

Everyone was shocked again.

"Alex is next!" Luke shouted as he pointed at Alex.

"Touch me and I'll cut you!" Alex warned him, trying to run, but Phil had already stood behind her.

With his hair full of snow, Phil said to Alex, "Give it up. It's too late for you to run."

Alex's expression fell, and she called out to my grandmother.

"Grandma Jules, please help me stop Edward!"

However, my grandma just smiled and said, "Edward is having some fun. It's a good thing. Just give up, Alex."

Alex's jaw dropped slightly. Then I picked her up and brought her outside.

Poof

She fell gently into the snow. Then she laughed, molded a snowball with her hand, and threw it at my face.

"It's on!" I wiped the snow off and molded a snowball myself. A second snowball hit the back of my head.

Haley grinned as she saw the ball hit me.

Then I threw my snowball straight at her face. She couldn't even avoid it, even though she wanted to.

"Hey Alex, how long do you think it will take to build an ice fortress?" I asked.

Alex paused after throwing a ball at Luke's head and said, "I don't know? A couple of months?"

"Hmm… That's too long. What about we make an ice igloo instead?" Phil said excitedly.

Luke added, "With secret pathways in the snow."

I gasped in excitement and said, "We definitely should build that."

[Claire's commentary]

"As I watched them play around in the snow, I thought to myself, 'Wow. They are so insensitive.'"

She had an annoyed face, then her expression softened. "But then, I saw Jules' face."

Cut to the ranch, where Claire brushed the snow off her clothes as she entered the living room and saw Jules laughing as she watched Edward throw Luke in the air for the third time.

Then it cut back to Claire in the living room again.

"I guess Edward realized what Jules needed wasn't sympathy. She just needed some noise to drown her sorrows in."

Claire watched again as Edward continuously bothered his aunt and grandma, making them play with him as they built the igloo.

Even Edward's cousins joined in.

Claire smiled softly, then suddenly became slightly irritated and said, "Although, since all of them were just playing around without any regard for the time, I had to be the bad guy to stop them when it was dark outside."

[Commentary ends]

"Luke! Alex! Haley! PHIL! It's time for dinner!" Claire shouted from inside the ranch.

"Aww. Five more minutes," Phil whined.

"Now!" Claire said firmly.

"I think we should go and eat dinner too, before Claire yells at us next," Edward said as he buried Max inside a snowman, only her head visible.

Max laughed and said, "I should get inside." She only kicked the snow on her legs and was trying to go inside with the snowman body, which made me cackle madly.

The igloos were built at the pasture. We made four of them.

"I'm going to sleep in here tonight." I told Alex as I laid down a sleeping bag. She stood by the Igloo entrance, which was just a huge hole and threw some wood at the fire I got going.

She looked at me with disbelief and said, "Don't be crazy. It's negative 10 degrees out here!"

"That's why it's so exciting." I told her. "Of course, if you're so worried, you can stay with me. We can share our body heat if the night gets too cold."

Alex was taken aback. Then, she giggled and said, "I'm not an idiot. I'm going to sleep in a room with a proper mattress, and a heater."

"Suit yourself, L.A soft child."

"What's that supposed to mean?" She raised an eyebrow, slightly angry.

I smirked and said, "It means what it means. I'm saying you're sheltered by the L.A lifestyle and have no real clue what an adventure really is."

She scoffed and said, "Like you have ever slept outdoors."

"I have." I replied.

"What– when?!" She was taken aback.

"When I was in Russia. That's how I fought that bear." I replied.

She narrowed her eyes at me and sighed, "Stop trying to make everyone believe you fought a bear. You never fought a bear. No man could fight a bear."

"I did. And I won." I replied to her, looking slightly offended that she would be suspicious of that.

"You know you will be the only one who's going to sleep out here tonight. My mom already caught dad and Luke trying to sneak outside with their sleeping bag." Alex said with a deadpan expression.

"As expected of Californians." I replied and unzipped my sleeping bag.

Alex asked with concern, "Are you really going to sleep outside?"

"Yup. Also, don't worry about me. If I get too cold, I will call Ace to join me."

Alex went silent for a while as I got myself comfortable in the sleeping bag.

"Is there any other reason you're sleeping outside?" She asked. "Is there something more to this?"

I sat up and smiled at her, "You're really slow to get that huh?"

"So there is something." Alex was intrigued.

I nodded and said, "Self quarantine."

"Self quarantine for what?" She asked with confusion.

"I'm sure if I sleep in my room, I will seduce your sister, or my ex-girlfriend to my bed." I replied casually. "Worse. Your mother."

Alex rolled her eyes and said, "What makes you so certain that they will fall for your seduction technique–" She suddenly realized something and became frazzled, "Wait– Why did you ask me to sleep outside with you!?"

I laughed slightly and said, "What do you think?"

A pink blush appeared on her cheek. She stammered slightly.

I burst out laughing and said, "Don't worry. I'm not putting any moves on you. Besides, it's not going to work on you anyway, so that's why I'm asking you to stay. You have the mental fortitude to actually say no to me."

"That's such an arrogant and condescending statement. It's like you're saying other women have no defense against you at all." Alex said with annoyance, crossing her arms together.

"Please don't cross your arms like that. It makes your chest pop. My line of sight kept moving there…" I covered my eyes with my hand slightly.

Alex was flabbergasted and her face became flushed. She covered her chest and said, "Agh! I hate you!"

Then, she stomped away.

I lay back down, trying to get settled, when she came back a few minutes later. She threw some more blankets at me and said, "Your grandma wants you to use these."

"Aww… Tell my grandma I said thanks." I replied casually.

"You know, I don't appreciate you objectifying me like that." Alex scolded, wanted to cross her arms again, but stopped mid way and was flustered slightly.

I shrugged and said, "I'm not objectifying you. I'm just telling you that's how my eyes work."

"Well– It never bothered you before!" She argued.

"Since my grandpa died, it's like I can see every beauty in life right now. And you are… especially… beautiful." I replied honestly.

Alex froze in shock. Her entire face turned red. Her mouth opened and shut a few times.

Then, she fumed and left again.

"Wait Alex." I called.

"What?!" She snapped angrily, face still blushing.

"Do you want to do something with me?" I asked.

Her face turned aghast and she couldn't reply for a while.

"I meant like, sing with me. Tomorrow." I clarified.

[Alex's commentary]

"Edward better be careful before I pick up a sledge hammer and destroy his igloo in the middle of the night."

[Commentary ends]

The next morning. At breakfast, we caught Grandma staring into space a couple of times.

Haley stabbed her pancake with a fork while staring daggers at me and Alex, who kept whispering while we ate.

Claire asked, "Alex. What time did you turn in last night? I woke up at 3 am and saw you weren't in your room."

Alex replied casually, "Oh. I'm with Edward at the igloo."

"You slept in the igloo?" Luke was astonished and turned to Claire, "You said we can't do that."

"We weren't sleeping." I replied. Claire, Haley and Ness's heart skipped a beat.

"W-W-What were you doing then?" Haley stammered slightly.

Max cackled and said, "You have finally put your moves to Alex now huh? I always knew you have something for smart brunette with big breast–"

Maggie covered Max's mouth before she could finish speaking. My grandma got intrigued and asked, "What did you do Edward?"

"We practiced a song together." I replied easily.

Alex added, "It's a Christmas song. Edward wants to make it a duet, so he asked me to sing with him."

Ness was a bit dissatisfied, "Why didn't you call me?"

I turned to Ness and said, "Cause we won't practice then."

She was taken aback and smirked slightly as she thought about it.

"I can't wait to listen to your Christmas song Eddy." Grandma clapped slightly, enthusiastic about the performance.

After breakfast, I walked to the kitchen to put my dishes away and saw Ness who's helping to wash the plates at the sink.

She noticed me. "Oh- You can just put it here. I'll wash it–" The bubble on the sink became bigger and it almost overflowed since she kept the tap on.

"Oh god–" She took a step back as she closed the tap, and accidentally bumped into me. Her soft butt brushed against my lap, which instantly turned me on.

"You did that on purpose did you?" I smirked, putting my hand on her waist, caressing her butt slightly.

Ness was taken aback and said, "No-No. I did not."

I squeezed her buttocks, which made her widen her eyes in surprise.

" Your grandma could see us!" Ness yelled using a whisper.

I kissed her neck from behind. She closed her eyes and bit her lower lip. Then, she turned and batted her eyes at me and kissed my lips a little.

My right hand slid into her cotton-blend shorts, and I began playing with her pussy.

Ness couldn't stand straight, she covered her mouth, which made her moans muffled.

"You can continue washing the dishes. I'm just helping you with it." I flirted as I licked her neck.

Then, I whispered to her ear, "And don't pretend this is not turning you on." I pulled out my hand and showed her pussy juices stuck on my fingers.

Maybe it was because we both needed some distraction, so we understood what each other wanted.

I nibbled on her ear, which made her moan a bit. Then, I lowered her shorts and pulled out my cock.

"You're crazy." She whispered, her eyes beckoning while her mouth was protesting. She grabbed my penis and stroked it while I pulled her shirt up and nibbled on her nipple.

"Tell me to stop, and I will." I said to her with a low voice.

She went silent instead. "Do it fast." She whispered.

I rubbed my dick in her thigh, slathering it with her pussy juice. Then, as it was wet enough, I smoothly pushed through her vagina entrance.

The tightness was wrapped around my cock, and the elasticity made me moan a bit.

She moaned hard and her body jerked a little bit. Her mouth opened wide, and her hair fell forward, covering her face slightly.

My left hand squeezed her breasts while my hips moved.

Pap Pap Pap

I pounded her skillfully, while playing with her clit at the same time. She had to stand on her tippy toes from our height difference. I had to spread my legs far.

She held the edge of the sink as I continued thrusting my dick into her.

Her pussy clamped by dick tightly. The strokes made her go crazy. I pulled her face close and stuck my tongue into her mouth.

"Eddy. Your cock is so big." She gasped for air. "I love it."

She reciprocated and licked my lips. Her toes were up in the air as I picked her up. I grabbed her butt and made her thrust her body into mine.

Her pussy juices dripped on the floor.

"Edward. More." She moaned. "I want more. Don't ever stop fucking me." She kissed my neck.

Luckily for us, everyone went outside after breakfast. The Dunphy family offered to go to town to pick up some groceries.

Grandma went to a book club with my aunt May and my other aunt– Uncle Aaron's wife.

Uncle Aaron and my dad were finalizing the estate transfer for grandpa's properties.

Vanessa's entire body jerked as she orgasm from the intense pleasure brought by the taboo play.

I stroked my dick as I pulled it out of her. She kneeled on the floor and opened her mouth wide.

Then, I shot strings all over her face. Most of it fell into her mouth. She swirled it around and then swallowed it.

She giggled and brushed the cum with her finger before licking it.

"Should we go to your room?" She flirted. We always did it a couple of times, so she didn't have enough yet.

We were doing stuff in the kitchen when Maggie walked in.

"AHH! What the hell are you doing?!" Maggie yelled in horror. I quickly pulled my pants up and Ness wiped her face with a tissue.

That afternoon, Alex and I sat on a stool in front of the whole family at the open space behind the ranch.

I created a makeshift stage using some pellets and speakers as the living room was too small to fit everyone there.

There's Christmas decorations above the stage, a few small snowmen on the edges of the pellet floor, candy cane and a Christmas wreath behind us.

"Are you ready?" I asked Alex as I held a guitar.

Her face was slightly nervous, but she nodded and said, "Yeah. I'm ready."

Maggie was still staring at me with disgust. Ness has a guilty expression as she sat next to Maggie.

Maggie told Ness she wouldn't let her out of sight again.

I spoke into the microphone and said, "Last night before I went to bed, I had an idea for a song. I asked Alex to help me with it."

"I hope the song can cheer you up, especially you, Grandma." I singled her out.

[Snowman- Sia]

I picked the guitar string softly, putting everyone into a good mood.

Alex took a deep breath and sang, " ♫♪ Don't cry, snowman, not in front of me. Who'll catch your tears if you can't catch me, darling? ♫♪"

"♫♪ If you can't catch me, darling ♫♪"

I smiled in satisfaction, locking eyes with Alex. Then, I crooned, "♫♪ Don't cry, snowman, don't leave me this way. A puddle of water can't hold me close, baby ♫♪"

"♫♪Can't hold me close, baby ♫♪"

My grandma's face froze for a bit as she realized the hidden meaning inside the lyrics.

Alex sang with a sweet voice, "♫♪ I want you to know that I'm never leaving

'Cause I'm Mrs. Snow, 'til death we'll be freezing, yeah ♫♪"

I picked it up without missing a beat, "♫♪ You are my home, my home for all seasons. So come on, let's go ♫♪"

We harmonized together, "♫♪ Let's go below zero, and hide from the sun

I'll love you forever, where we'll have some fun ♫♪"

"♫♪ Yes, let's hit the North Pole and live happily

Please, don't cry no tears now, it's Christmas, baby ♫♪"

Alex sang alone, "♫♪ My snowman and me, eh

My snowman and me ♫♪"

"♫♪Baby ♫♪"

The song invoked some memories for my grandma. Frankie suddenly teared up and my dad hugged her slightly.

I looked at my grandma and said, "♫♪ Don't cry, snowman, don't you fear the sun. Who'll carry me without legs to run, honey? ♫♪"

"♫♪Without legs to run, honey ♫♪"

"♫♪ Don't cry, snowman, don't you shed a tear

Who'll hear my secrets if you don't have ears, baby? ♫♪"

My grandma finally broke down. She lowered her head and her tears started to fall. "Sam." She sobbed slightly.

Alex was taken aback. I continued without minding it, "♫♪ If you don't have ears, baby ♫♪"

Alex and I harmonized together, "♫♪ I want you to know that I'm never leaving. 'Cause I'm Mister Snow, 'til death we'll be freezing, yeah ♫♪

I crooned, "♫♪ You are my home, my home for all seasons

So come on, let's go ♫♪"

We harmonized again, "♫♪ Let's go below zero, and hide from the sun

I'll love you forever, where we'll have some fun ♫♪"

I looked at my family.

"♫♪ Yes, let's hit the North Pole and live happily

Please, don't cry no tears now, it's Christmas, baby♫♪"

They imagined Grandpa was saying that to them instead of me.

Alex looked at me and sang, "♫♪ My snowman and me, eh~♫♪"

I picked the guitar till the end of the song and finished the song alone. "My snowman and me… Baby ♫♪"

Everyone went silent for a while. Most of them realized my intention behind the song. Aunt May went to comfort grandma.

"Now, I'm going to sing, "Santa Hates Poor Kids'." I said abruptly, which made everyone chuckle.

My grandma wiped her eyes and looked at me with affection. She walked to the stage and hugged me. Then, she hugged Alex too, thanking us for the performance.

"I need something to let the grief out. You gave me that." Grandma said to me and kissed my cheek warmly.

I smiled in satisfaction and said, "Anything for you grandma."

A gentle breeze blew, which ruffled my hair. The wind felt warm instead of biting cold. My grandma and Alex also realized the same thing, and they widened their eyes in disbelief.

"Sam?" Grandma's eyes shook slightly. Then, the breeze stopped.

Grandma's tears fell again, but she had a smile on her face this time.

Maggie commented, face full of disbelief, "How can someone so perverted also be so sensitive and talented?"

Ness opened her mouth, but Maggie turned to her and exhaled sharply, "Don't you dare answer."

Maggie didn't want to hear anything positive about me until her anger was gone.

[Edward POV]

This morning, Alex and Abby had to stay at the house after their workplace address got leaked online.

Reporters crowded around their lab, trying to get a glimpse of them. It pissed me off quite a lot, but the girls managed to calm me down.

"It's just something we have to deal with if we want to date you." Alex giggled softly. "So don't worry about us. We're tougher than we look."

"We'd be even tougher if you made the esper serum for us. Preferably today." Abby teased. "Right now would be even better."

I chuckled and said, "I'm already synthesizing it. We can do it tonight."

It wasn't that I specifically wanted to date superpowered people. But I'd feel better if they had something to rely on in case I couldn't be there for them.

Back at the office, I kept a smile on my face, but anger simmered underneath it. The temperature inside the room dropped by a few degrees.

"I want to know why you did it." I chuckled as I sat across from Taylor. "Why did you leak the photo?"

I wanted to know why she was trying to destroy the normal life I'd been striving for.

"Isn't that obvious?" Taylor scoffed as she looked me straight in the eye. A cold smile spread across her face. "I fucking loathe you."

My smile disappeared completely. Taylor, Harvey, and Pepper were all taken aback.

"Edward, be calm." Pepper said as he sat down beside me. "This isn't a big deal."

I leaned back in my chair and replied coldly, "Maybe not for her."

Taylor's face paled slightly. She bit her lower lip and said, "What are you saying? That I'm not affected by this too?"

"You're not." I replied flatly. "In fact, your album drops next week. So what is this? A publicity stunt? You leak my private life, let the internet explode, and suddenly everyone's talking about Taylor Swift again?"

She shot to her feet and tried to slap me, but I caught her wrist before she could.

Harvey quickly pulled her away.

"I think we should all take a moment to calm down before we say something we'll regret." Harvey said in a soothing tone.

"Why don't we meet back here in ten minutes?"

She led Taylor out of the room.

Pepper turned to me awkwardly and asked, "So... you're dating two girls now?"

I grimaced. "You already knew about it."

"Honestly, I forgot." He shrugged. "The last thing I remember is you dating seven girls at once. After that, I just tuned out whenever you talked about your love life."

I opened my mouth, but nothing came out. I just stared at him.

Pepper smirked.

"See? This isn't actually that bad. It would've come out eventually."

"I'm not mad that it came out." I rubbed my forehead. "I'm mad that she did it on my behalf. She had no right to make that decision for me."

"That's fair." Pepper nodded. "She made a huge mistake. So what are you going to do?"

"First, I need to get ahead of the scandal." I muttered. "The Evangelicals are already attacking me—"

"No, I mean Taylor." Pepper interrupted. "Who cares about those people?"

"My grandma."

Pepper froze.

"Oh."

"Exactly." I groaned. "She's going to kill me."

"Don't be so sure. Maybe she'll understand." Pepper said slowly. "I mean, if she loves you, she'll probably try to—"

"Force me to choose one?"

"The alternative would be getting both of them pregnant at the same time. That way she can't force you to choose."

My eyes lit up.

"That's a great idea, Pepper."

"Wait. No." He immediately backtracked. "Let's table that for now. What are you going to do about Taylor?"

"I don't know. Let her stew in her own guilt. Assuming she feels guilty at all."

"She just broke up with her boyfriend. Seeing that picture of you three together was probably too much for her. Wait."

Pepper paused and slowly turned toward me.

"Where did she get the pictures?"

I opened my mouth, then stopped.

In my anger, I'd completely forgotten to investigate the source of the leak. A smile slowly spread across my face.

"I can still make mistakes, huh?"

The realization gave me an almost euphoric feeling.

"I haven't made a mistake in a long time."

Pepper stared at me.

"Why are you so happy about that?"

I laughed and stood up. "Because, Pepper, it means…I'm still human."

My anger evaporated almost instantly. "Man, if dating a girl is lowering your cognitive thinking by half, two of them brought my brain capability to almost zero huh?"

I turned to him and said, "Alright. I have a PR crisis to deal with. Worst-case scenario, I become a Mormon."

"No!" Pepper shouted immediately.

I walked over to the window.

"I'm asking for the last time," Pepper said. "What are you going to do about Taylor?"

"I told you." I smirked. "I'm going to let her stew. For once, I don't want to be the bigger person. I don't want to forgive first. I'm going to let this play out."

The window slid open as I tapped the glass. Wind rushed into the office, scattering papers across the room.

"Hey! Use the stairs!" Pepper shouted.

"No."

With a grin on my face, I jumped out of the window.

A sleek silver flying car shaped like a Lamborghini rose to meet me.

I dropped into the driver's seat and sped away. Taylor came back to the office and bit her lower lip angrily as she realized I had left.

"Now I have to deal with my second evil ex." I mumbled as I set the destination in the GPS.

"... Let's go to Neverland City."

"I don't know when I started hating coming to him for favors." I mumbled as I stepped into the church. There were countless people kneeling in front of the Golden Cathedral.

Neverland City.

A sanctuary for broken people. It was recognized as a Holy Land by the government.

The City of the Gods which terrified every religion in the world. Since there was an actual living god there.

He stopped wars, he saved people, he killed those who were protected by human law openly, yet no one did anything to stop him.

More accurately, no one could do anything to stop him.

I met with the 'god' in the church, having tea together.

His eyes sparkled and his pupils were shaped like the sun. His glistening blonde hair flowed past his legs, dragging across the ground.

He wore a formal aristocratic suit and exuded elegance as he drank his tea.

I looked at him with disbelief and asked, "Isn't this too much, 'myself'?"

My clone—separated from me a couple of years ago, and now carrying every one of my supernatural powers.

In the past four years, I didn't go to the Afterlife gacha sessions, but he did.

"I have an image to maintain." He smirked slightly. He picked up the newspaper and asked with a flat tone, "So, that's who you picked? Abby and Alex?" he asked casually, yet his tone remained detached.

"Yup." I drank my tea and asked, "Between you and Sage—"

"I'm stronger." He interjected immediately, as if he was already expecting my question.

I breathed slowly, my chest tightening with anxiousness.

"You don't have to be afraid. I don't think you'll need to turn into me." He faked a smile.

"What do you mean?" I asked, shocked, leaning forward immediately.

He interlocked his fingers together and rested his chin on them.

"I can just leave and join the Afterlife Agency."

I understood what he was saying, yet his emotionless face filled me with anxiety.

He added, "I can separate from you perfectly now. After I leave, I'll close off your connection to the Afterlife Agency, and you can just... be normal."

He smirked again, as if he was imitating the expression rather than genuinely feeling it.

"You're afraid to become me, right?" He asked, as if mocking me.

I paused and took a deep breath. I asked, "Is it true what they say? Perfection kills desire?"

He lowered his gaze to his hands for a while before answering.

"It does. I do not need to sleep. I do not need to eat. I also don't have any desire to procreate, since I'm going to live forever."

He turned to me.

"My advice. Don't be like me. The only way I think I can regain everything back is to leave and help the other worlds."

"I see." I nodded in understanding. A small feeling of relief began budding inside of me.

"Am I ungrateful?" I asked him. "I know the Afterlife System gave me almost omnipotent abilities, but I'd very much rather be—"

"Liar." He interjected again.

His eyes met mine.

"You don't want to be normal. You just don't want to be a monster."

He paused briefly. "Like me."

His every word dug deep into my brain.

"Is there something you're worried about if you're going to leave?" I asked.

"Reverence."

He turned toward the giant doors. Outside, countless people were kneeling in worship.

"Their fanatical reverence will be destroyed if I leave. Can they survive without me?"

"So you still have an attachment." I teased.

"No." He shook his head slightly.

"It's just... responsibility. Can these broken people truly stay sane if I leave them alone?"

"That's true." I frowned. "If they feel as if their god had abandoned them, they might resort to… some crazy decisions."

He waved his hand and said, "Let's change the subject. You're here for a reason. Do you want me to erase the incident? To reset your relationship status–"

"No. I don't need that." I grinned. "It's actually making me feel more human, and I like it."

"I see." He said with disappointment.

"I actually came here for another favor." I finished my tea and added, "I found traces of another civilization up there. I need someone to investigate for me."

"Oh-ho~" He smiled truthfully for the first time. "That sounds interesting. Are they strong?"

"You're going to have to find out." I replied.

He nodded and said, "1 month. I'll go up there for 1 month. In exchange…"

"In exchange?" I was startled as he never asked me for something in exchange before.

"You need to surprise me once." He smirked.

Stunned, I sat there speechless for a bit.

"A bet then." I smiled softly.

"If you can't do it, you'll have to be impotent for a year."

My eyes shook. "I don't want the powers– Wait, did you say Impotent?"

He smirked mischievously.

After the conversation with the version of myself that could destroy the world in a minute, I went back home to deal with the aftermath.

There were hundreds of reporters inside the conference room hall.

Lights flashed non-stop as I walked onto the stage.

"Mr. Newgate! Are the rumors true?" One of the reporters asked.

I sat down in front of the microphones and said, "Good evening everyone. Don't fret, I am here to clarify what's been going on."

They shouted their questions, but my gaze alone made them turn silent.

"Now, let's talk one by one, shall we? The one in the yellow dress, you go first."

"Hi. Jocelyn Fisher, ABC News. Are you really dating two people at once?"

At first, I wanted to dispel the rumors. Claim it was just a misunderstanding.

However, I couldn't bring myself to do that.

"I don't want to lie anymore. Yes, I am dating both of them. We're all in the relationship together."

The reporters immediately typed their articles.

"How did you get into this sort of relationship?" Another one asked.

"I knew both of them even before I became famous. They are special people in my life, that I don't want to let go no matter what." I replied honestly.

Most artists didn't even try to discuss their relationship, unless they got divorced or it's a huge scandal.

To be honest, dating two people at once wasn't a big deal if you're a celebrity. But as I answered their question, they realized that I'm fully serious about the girls and wasn't just trying to take advantage of them.

"I'm here, not to answer all of your questions, but to give you a warning too." I added coldly. "You can use me in your headlines. You can attack me. But if you by any chance, go and bother my partners. I'll make sure your life will be ruined."

"I'm sorry?" One of the reporters asked in shock.

My smile widened. "Leave them alone."

The entire crowd froze in shock. I slowly got up and made my way across the stage.

Harvey was in the back. She was stunned as she heard what I said.

"Isn't this making things worse?" She asked me slowly.

"I'm not going to be polite anymore." I muttered with gritted teeth. "I kept smiling, and smiling. They pushed and pushed. Now, I'm going on the offensive."

Harvey sighed and rubbed her sore forehead. "This is going to be troublesome."

"It's fine. I'll handle things myself from now on."

Harvey's face tightened.

"You aren't going to create havoc, are you?" She asked warily.

"Of course I'm going to do just that."

Right now, I have over 3 billion followers. That meant, almost half of the world population was listening and loyal to me.

This is also why the governments around the world fear me. Because of my influence. Why is there a need for campaigning when one word from me could decide who would lead the country?

I kept away from politics and let myself be attacked all over.

So what if I suddenly decide to use that power?

"I'm going to make the world listen to me from now on." I said with a cold expression.

[General POV]

Taylor saw the press conference inside Pepper's office.

She bit her lower lip till it almost bled.

"Now? You're being decisive now?" She cursed and threw the remote at the TV, breaking the screen.

Pepper was stunned as he saw it. "What's wrong with you?!"

"He's what's wrong with me!" Taylor breathed heavily. "Why can't he do that when he's with me!?"

Inside Robin's office.

The black haired beauty suddenly chuckled. Her amused expression coupled with a fanatical look would create goosebumps if someone was there to see it.

"Finally!" Robin said with an overflowing happy emotion. "I can finally see it! Him, taking over the entire world!"

She glanced at a picture of Edward dancing with Abby and Alex at the wedding. "To think his catalyst would be this."

She touched her chin in confusion and asked herself, "But who are the ones who released it? Who gave Taylor the picture?"

Despite her desires, Robin would never betray Edward, someone who's a father figure to her.

"It's strange. I can't even check to see who did this."

It stumped her. She, who possessed the most advanced technology in the world, couldn't figure out the person who leaked the photo.

"There's only a couple beings above me in this world. Sage, Second, and Edward himself. But I can remove Eddy from the equation."

She smiled childishly and said, "So between those two, who is the one who showed this guidance to Eddy? Someone who wants him to break out of his shell?"

Robin pulled out her desk and took out a thick brown envelope.

"Hmm. I'm itching to release all of the materials I've collected over the years. He'll contact me, right?" She smiled in anticipation.

Seconds later, Edward called Robin using a holographic projection.

"Release the list Robin. Let's start the purge." Edward ordered.

Robin smiled fanatically and said, "I'm so glad. I've been waiting for this day for far too long."

Edward cuts the call.

Robin added, "The day you'll become the Emperor of the world."

Across the world, clips of the conference spread like wildfire. Some called him irresponsible. Some called him romantic.

Others were simply shocked that the most influential man on Earth had openly admitted to loving two women at once.

For the first time in years, Edward Newgate had stopped trying to be perfect.

And with no more weaknesses, his enemies slowly started to get nervous.

[Edward POV]

After deciding to move against the world, my first enemy had brought me down to my knees. The being with a superior ability that I have no defense against.

"Hello Grandma." I greeted the enemy in front of me as she opened the door.

She hid her anger behind her smile. "Oh Eddy. It's been a while since you came to the ranch. I wonder why that is? It turns out, you have been busy… hiding things from me."

Startled, I immediately decided to turn the tide with my greatest offensive attack.

"Grandma" I ran to her and hugged her. "I'm sowwy~"

My grandma was taken aback by the attack. Even though I was already near 6'5, I would still be her cute little grandson, forever.

She sighed and said, "Come inside."

I told her about my decisions. She listened and touched the cross on her necklace.

Grandma fell into a deep silence for a while. I clenched my fist as I waited for her reactions.

"It's fine." She said suddenly.

"Really?" My eyes lit up.

She smiled and patted my head warmly. "I'm going to support you no matter what. I am more hurt that you didn't tell me about your girlfriends."

I laughed and said, "I'll introduce you to them later. You already know Alex."

"Alex is a good girl." She nodded in admiration. "But I also want to know about Abby. So bring them both here."

"Okay, I'll check if–"

"No. Right now." Grandma said suddenly. She smiled and said, "You can do that, can't you?"

"Um… Alright." I agreed to it and called my girlfriends.
