The whole journey back doesn't need to be mentioned, every single second seemed particularly unbearable.
The driver was driving, Lu Xiao was sitting in the passenger seat. Usually, when meeting up, they couldn't stop chatting, while in the backseat Wen Xian and Li Zaijun were either pretending to play with their phones or staring out the window while biting their nails.
Li Zaijun was biting so hard, she almost bit her fingernail to the quick.
They were just not speaking.
By now, Li Zaijun was fully aware that her sister-in-law was just being stubborn and boastful. All those big words she said turned into nothing when she was in front of her brother.
When they arrived at the hotel, Wen Xian hurriedly got out of the car, and as Li Zaijun was getting out, she saw her brother standing in front of her, handing her a room card.
Li Zaijun: "…Bro?"
Lu Xiao didn't even glance at her: "Go to this room yourself."
Saying this, he walked away without looking back.
