Chapter 834 - Chapter 824. Forced

The Incubus System Chapter 824. Forced

I stood there, frozen in my position, my chest heaving from the recent exertion.

My mind was racing, trying to make sense of the unbelievable events that had just transpired.

Was it another demon lord, lurking in the shadows?

Or perhaps it was some rare, undiscovered demon species that resided in the most remote corners of the demon world?

The thought of it being connected to Beel or Zatan, part of their lineage, or some powerful entity from their family, also crossed my mind.

There was even a strange notion that it could be some kind of pet or ultimate weapon at their disposal, hidden until now.

But what unnerved me the most was the fact that this entity had gone entirely unnoticed by Lord Damon and us.

If it indeed possessed strength comparable to a demon lord, its invisibility on our radar was deeply troubling. This raised so many questions, and I felt a growing sense of restlessness and unease as I attempted to connect the dots and unravel the enigma.

Soon, I felt a strange sensation, like something was swiftly gliding in my direction.

Without missing a beat, I channeled my Telekinesis again. The remaining black lances, still firmly lodged in the ground from my previous attack, responded to my unspoken command.

They tore themselves free from the earth.

With remarkable precision, they shot off in the direction from which the attack had originated.

The tremendous boom echoed through the chaotic battleground as the two forces collided in an explosive clash. Violent winds howled, and the very ground seemed to shudder from the power unleashed. This collision, though powerful, was somewhat milder in comparison to the earlier confrontation between my Incubus Climax and the colossal eye's energy.

I couldn't help but shake my head in a mix of amusement and annoyance. The audacity of whoever dared to challenge me during this critical moment was nothing short of foolish.

The smoke and debris quickly dissipated into the hazy air, revealing the battered streets of the battleground. My ears now picked up the sound of coughing behind me.

The raspy coughs were interspersed with labored breathing.

From the rustling sounds, it was clear that they were struggling to maintain their footing.

Though their breaths came heavily and their body language signaled exhaustion, it was apparent that they hadn't given up the fight. They prepared to unleash their skills once again.

However, my gaze wandered, and with just the periphery of my vision, I spotted a lone male demon hunter. His stance was unsteady, and he appeared to be struggling to remain on his feet, battered.

"Stop doing stupid things… Nathan," I muttered, my words a blend of irritation and concern.

I wanted nothing more than for him to remove himself from my path, to avoid making a dire situation even worse. My patience wore thin.

Nathan, in his battered state, panted heavily, his gaze unyielding.

"How can you consider this stupid when what I'm doing is simply my job?" he countered, his voice laced with determination.

His disheveled attire bore more than a proof to what he had been through, and his HP gauge blinked menacingly, barely registering half.

"Besides… You finally showed your true form, Great Demon," he added, meeting my gaze head-on. There was a tenacity in his eyes.

I turned my body to face him, my eyes locking onto his. It was clear that he was no match for me in his current state. Common sense should have dictated that he withdraw, regroup, and return to fight another day. Yet, against all reason, he had chosen to challenge me in the midst of this chaos.

I couldn't help but release an exasperated sigh. I had no interest in engaging in conversation, or whatever form of confrontation he had in mind. Instead, thoughts of removing him from my path, or perhaps leaving him with a painful reminder of his recklessness, filled my mind. Like breaking his bone, one or two.

However, as I contemplated this, a sudden movement drew my attention. Mrs. Clea.

She shook her head subtly, and her expression conveyed a potent message. It was as if she had delved into my thoughts.

'The senators forced him to face you,' she said.
