( Yuuki's POV )
???: I'm sorry about this, Bete came straight here when he found out you were in town, we couldn't stop him.
The short blond guy was speaking like a leader and apologized for his partner's impulsive behavior, although I could understand a little where Bete's attitude was coming from.
I approached the pillar that was damaged by Bete's body and used my transmutation to fix it.
Yuuki: You don't need to apologize for him, I can understand some of why he did what he did, I didn't catch your name by the way, mine is Yuuki, nice to officially meet you.
???: My name is Finn, captain of the Loki family, thank you for your understanding, hopefully the relationship will go smoothly from now on.
Yuuki: That would be best, since you went to all the trouble of coming here I can offer you something to drink.
Finn: Thanks, but we really have to go. We have to go on a big exploration tomorrow.
Yuuki: I understand, at least take this, an apology for what happened today and for what happened that night a while ago.
I pulled out a bottle of phoenix tears, and Finn looked at it with some confusion, he could tell it was some kind of potion, but not one he recognized.
Finn: What's this?
Yuuki: Phoenix tears, a very powerful potion, that can bring someone back from death's door to full health, so don't waste it on a scratch.
Finn: Thanks again.
After receiving the potion Finn and his companions retreated although the blonde haired girl stood where she was and she was staring at me.
???: ... You're strong.
Yuuki: Yeah, I guess so.
???: ...what level are you?
Yuuki: I don't know, I haven't checked my status plate in a while.
The blonde girl asked me a couple of questions and then she just stared silently, still not showing any emotion on her face.
???: ...what are you talking about?
Yuuki: What are YOU talking about doll?
???: Ais~ hurry up!
The blonde haired girl, called Ais, was called by one of the Amazon girls, she stared at me for a second and then she followed behind her companions.
After that I was left with the thought, the girls in this city are somewhat eccentric, of course except for my Haruhime, she is a perfect girl.

( Yukikaze's POV )
During my spy work around the city I had observed a little of the Loki family base, I thought that guy Bete would be returning there but when I started following him from the rooftops of the city I realized that he was in no mood to return home.
Maybe he was too proud to come back after his defeat in front of Yuuki, but that wasn't important, Yuuki was very sure that this guy could be targeted by the enemies hiding in the city and I shared that feeling.
The guy Bete was walking through the city with the confidence of someone very sure of his own power and he didn't even notice when a presence appeared and started following behind him, the presence belonged to someone who was wearing a black hood that seemed to be able to blend into the shadows supernaturally but he couldn't escape my eyes.
When the mysterious figure took out a knife to stab Bete in the back I jumped from the roof and threw a kick, I hit the mysterious guy in his chest and he flew crashing into some wood boxes, The hooded man was perplexed by my surprise attack and when I drew my wakizashi instead of facing me, he ran into the cover of the shadows.
Yukikaze: you're not going to get away that easily.
I threw some kunais at the hooded man's legs but instead of hurting him I blew off one of his legs, I think I didn't measure my strength well, whatever, that worked.
I approached to inspect the mysterious attacker and when I turned his body I saw that he had some strange marks on his body and the flow of his magic felt erratic, I knew something was wrong so I took the mysterious figure's weapon and whatever else I could find inside his hood and I walked away from him, after that the mysterious assailant's body exploded, a drastic measure to prevent the enemy from gaining information about them.
The guy Bete was confused with what had happened but before he could ask a question I jumped away and went back to our mansion, Yuuki was at the entrance of the place and when I landed I gave him a report of what had happened then I gave him the items I had collected from the mysterious figure, one was the dagger he was using and the other was a cylindrical object that appeared to be some kind of container.
Yuuki was very focused on the dagger and he was analyzing it with a serious expression, he only put on that expression when he was working or when he was facing a powerful enemy, I have to admit that seeing him like that made me a little excited and my tail wagged from side to side rather quickly.
When he put the dagger back in his storage he returned to his normal relaxed attitude which wasn't a bad thing either.
Yuuki: Hey Yukikaze, would you like to go with me to the city?
Yukikaze: You mean like a date.
Yuuki: ...Yeah, let's go on a date.
I was almost sure that Yuuki wanted to go to the city for work but without thinking I asked him out and he responded with a smile and patting my head, that made my tail wag even faster.
