( Yuuki's POV )
Leaving the mansion after my talk with the Loki family, I planned to visit another family that was on Hydra's list, and that was the Ganesha family.
Ryuu was accompanying me to act as a guide, and Hestia was there too, Ryuu had a look that seemed to say, 'Why are you here?' but she was too polite to say that out loud, I didn't have the same problem though.
Yuuki: What are you doing here Hestia?
Hestia: You said you would be my protector. I'm staying close so you can do your job.
Yuuki: Those weren't my exact words, but I guess that's okay, but at least try to behave yourself, be more like Ryuu.
Hestia: Why do I think you're treating me like a child? I'm an elegant and sophisticated goddess you know.
Yuuki: I'll believe that when I see it.
We continued walking and trying to prove what she had said, Hestia followed us without making much noise.
We arrived at the base of the Ganesha family and the place was certainly unmistakable, In front of us was a huge coliseum, and at the entrance stood a couple of muscular men with spears, standing guard, when they saw us coming, they crossed their spears between them to block our path.
Guard 1: Halt right there! What's your business here, fox hunter?
Hestia: Oh, your fame is spreading.
Yuuki: quiet you. I'm here on official business, urgent business, you can check with the union if you don't believe me.
???: That won't be necessary, Ganesha-sama said to let them pass.
Just when it seemed we were going to suffer a slight delay, a voice came from behind the guards, the men withdrew their spears and then a woman with short blue hair came out of the coliseum; she commanded authority and upon seeing us she signaled for us to follow her.
???: Sorry for the caution of my family members, they are just doing their job.
Yuuki: No problem, these are the times to be cautious.
???: I suppose that's your reason for coming here. Ganesha-sama isn't available at the moment, but I'm the captain of the family, Shakti.
*Growl*
The girl introduced herself as the captain of the Ganesha family, I was about to introduce myself too when I was distracted by the roar of a monster.
Other members of the Ganesha family were pulling a monster into a cage; the monster was one of the dragon family, a Wyvern, The Ganesha family members were pulling on chains to keep the creature in line, but when I approached, the creature completely calmed down.
Yuuki: You, let go of the reins.
Ganesha's Adventurer: Are you crazy?!
The adventurers were surprised by the monster's sudden change of attitude, but my demand that they release the creature surprised them even more, but before I could try to convince them, I heard loud laughter above me.
???: HAHAHAHAHA GANESHA!
Shakti: Ganesha-sama!
A muscular man wearing an elephant mask jumped out of who knows where and landed in front of me, with a shout Shakti revealed that he was her god Ganesha.
Ganesha: Do what he says, I have a feeling we're going to see something interesting.
The adventurers followed their god's instructions with some doubt; they loosened the chains and prepared for the worst, but the Wyvern remained calm.
The creature approached me and lowered its head to the ground in a submissive manner; my dragon nature had left it in perfect condition to form a pact, but not for me.
An idea formed in my head and with a gesture I indicated to the captain of the family to come closer, When she took a few steps forward, a magic circle appeared beneath her; then a magical tattoos appeared on the girl's hand and on the Wyvern's head, that ended the contract and the brands became invisible.
Shakti: What was that?
Yuuki: A gift, something to help you break your limits.
Ganesha: HAHAHA splendid, truly the work of a master monster tamer.
Yuuki: I think we should move this to a more private place.
We moved to a sort of guest room and the god Ganesha accompanied us, although Shakti said that he was busy with something else, but he chose to leave that aside I guess.
I spoke about the pact I had made, which was one of mutual growth; every time Shakti or the Wyvern gained power, that would be shared with the other, basically multiplying their power, I also told them that I could do the same for the rest of their family.
Ganesha was laughing loudly and many ideas seemed to be crossing for his head, but the captain of his family was more cautious and she threw out the question I was waiting for.
Shakti: Why are you doing all this for us?
Yuuki: Mainly, because I want this city to be ready for what's coming.
I explained to them about Hydra and the recent attacks in the city, as well as their appearance on Hydra's target list.
Shakti grew up worried after hearing the story, but I told her it was better to act as if nothing was happening, The Ganesha family had an interest in monster taming, so I thought of giving them a different method than the Loki family to overcome the restrictions of their levels, for that, I asked them to connect the magic stone of a boss monster.
Shakti had several questions about the situation and when I answered all her questions I left the Ganesha family base and headed to my next stop.
