( Yuuki's POV )
Before Koneko and Kurokawa could start, I gave Bikou a threatening look, warning him not to try to interfere, He seemed to understand the message because he jumped from his flying cloud and landed next to me.
Bikou: You know, I'm getting more and more eager to test your strength.
Yuuki: Patience isn't probably your strongest quality, but I have faith that will happen in the future. For now, would you like something to drink?
I took a bottle of wine out of my storage and offered Bikou a glass, which he accepted without much convincing, and we enjoyed the show.
Koneko: Why are you here, Kuroka?
Kuroka: I was drawn to the big gathering and when I saw you here I thought it was time to finally take you with me-nya
Koneko: I have nowhere to go with you, my home is somewhere else.
Kuroka: Nya Don't be like that, you should be with your family, your REAL family.
Kuroka gave me an angry look, but that didn't bother me. In my humble opinion, family is the one who loves you and stays by your side when things get tough, I have a family related by blood, my Sekireis, and another family that picked me up from an alley like a stray cat.
Kuroka: Furthermore, I can make you strong, teach you to use the power you reject.
Koneko: That's not who I am anymore. What I want, sister, is to know why you abandoned me. I want to hear it straight from your mouth.
Koneko's ears and tail emerged at the same time as her power surged, launching her fist forward and a giant fireball was launched towards Kuroka, she wasn't expecting that, but that wasn't even the most surprising thing about tonight.
Kuroka dodged with a graceful jump and used her senjutsu to counterattack; when the attacks collided, it was clear that Koneko was being outmatched.
Kuroka moved with confidence as she attacked, and seeing how superior her sister was, Koneko switched to physical combat, she stomped her foot and a huge piece of rock came loose; she picked up the huge rock and threw it at Kuroka, she used a lightning attack to explode the rock, and this did cause Kuroka to lose her rhythm.
Koneko used her Touki and closed the distance between her and Kuroka; this should have been the moment where Koneko excelled, but Kuroka's base power was so great that she could match Koneko.
She was comfortable enough to talk while they exchanged words.
Kuroka: Very well, Shirone. I didn't think you'd push me so hard, but this only confirms it. You need my guidance.
Koneko: I will become strong, in the way I choose.
Kuroka: Let's see that, Nya.
Kuroka used a short-range magic attack that exploded between the two of them, and Koneko had to take a step back. As she jumped back, more attacks came from magic circles above her.
Koneko was able to dodge six attacks, but then she was caught in the blast of the last attack and went flying, crashing into a tree.
Kuroka gave me a quick look and when she saw that I hadn't moved from where I was, she walked towards Koneko.
Kuroka: You see, this guy won't care about you as much as I do, it's time for you to go back to your sister.
Koneko: You don't know anything about Yuuki and you don't know who I am now, but I'll show you a little.
Koneko stood still after saying she would show Kuroka something new, and I guess it was her feline curiosity that made Kuroka stand there waiting for Koneko to power up.
Kuroka didn't know what was going to happen, but I did. Koneko was gathering natural energy in large quantities, during our training she was never able to enter sage mode like me, but she was going to achieve it now.
The wind around the place grew stronger and the trees shook violently; that was nature reacting to Koneko, responding to her intentions, the next thing that happened was that her body was enveloped in white flames and she began to change physically; her body grew until she shared her sister's generous proportions, Some buttons on her shirt popped off and her skirt looked like a micro skirt now, her hair grew long and she grew a couple of extra cat tails.
Koneko told me earlier that her race was naturally good at absorbing natural energy, and that was evident when I noticed that she gained a greater power boost than I did when using my sage mode.
Koneko's first move was to summon a pair of white fireballs that took the form of the little old Koneko, those fire clones went to do close combat and they were at the same level as Koneko before she activated her sage mode and now Kuroka was in trouble.
Kuroka tried to shake off the clones, but two against one wasn't so easy. Koneko didn't give her a chance and appeared behind Kuroka in an instant, She unleashed a wave of pure energy that flipped the table between the two cats; Kuroka was against a tree and Koneko was creating a huge white fireball above her head.
At that moment, fear entered Kuroka's face, and legitimately so. Koneko had an expressionless face at this moment, but she was out of her mind, her instincts were controlling her body, which meant it was my time to act.
Moving faster than anyone here could follow, I appeared behind Koneko and hugged her, immediately the purifying fireball disappeared.
Kuroka was paralyzed, still not believing what she had seen. Bikou then appeared and carried Kuroka onto his flying cloud.
Bikou: Time to go, Loki's presence has disappeared, our work here is finished.
I didn't try to follow after them because I was sure we would see each other again and Koneko was my top priority.
Through our contact, I began to absorb Koneko's natural energy, and slowly her transformation reversed; her body grew a little again, and her hair remained long, When Koneko regained consciousness, I sat down leaning against a tree and sat Koneko on my lap.
Koneko: Yuuki... I almost... To my own sister.
Yuuki: No matter what may have happened, remember our promise, I won't let your power control you, that's what's important.
The gravity of what could have happened settled on Koneko and her body trembled a little, but I calmed her with a tight hug.
Koneko: Yuuki... never leave me.
Yuuki: Never, I'll always come back to you.
