Travis forgot some important documents in his study, so he had decided to take a quick break from his office, drive back to his rented house, and retrieve the files. On his way out of the neighborhood earlier that morning, he had crossed paths with Diego, and they ended up talking about his long-term plans in the quiet driveway.
Diego was never against his plans since he would benefit from them in the end. A successful outcome meant substantial financial and strategic leverage for both of them. However, Diego had wanted to make sure that everything would go strictly according to schedule, especially knowing that there was another woman involved and that emotions could easily complicate an otherwise pragmatic arrangement.
After talking and reassuring Diego that everything was under control, Travis went up to his study, grabbed the necessary documents, and went straight back to his corporate office to continue working through his mountain of paperwork.
