Peak Head Mountain Roar ignored their conversation.
"What happened after they left?" He asked.
Little Bull continued. "I kept cooking."
High Elder Shatter Peak nodded approvingly. "Good."
"Then I heard a stomach."
The three stared at him.
"A stomach?" High Elder Palm Saber repeated.
"Rumbling." Little Bull clarified.

"I thought it was mine."
High Elder Shatter Peak laughed.
"But it wasn't." Little Bull continued. "There was a girl in a tree."
Peak Head Mountain Roar's expression remained still. "What did she look like?"
Little Bull thought for a moment. "Small."
"How small?"
Little Bull held his hand around the height he remembered. "About this much."
High Elder Palm Saber estimated it. "Perhaps ten years old in appearance."
