Back in the residence Rean had rented, he found Araujo, Dristan, and Dongaro already waiting for him. From the looks of it, these three Aura Gods had survived the war as well.
"It is good to see you are alive."
Araujo shrugged. "We were mostly used for our abilities in arrays, blacksmithing in Dongaro's case. So we weren't brought to the front and stayed at the back. It pays pretty well, and although it is not risk-free since you never know if you will be called in as a soldier in emergencies, it is relatively safer."
Rean approached Araujo and patted his shoulder. "Seems like you liked it very much. It was your first time being allowed to stay back, wasn't it?"
Araujo's mouth twitched. "So what? Yes, I've always been used as a soldier because I was only a Level One Array Master. You don't need to put salt on the injury, okay? What do you want? Some kind of emotional gratitude?"
"Hahaha!" Rean laughed in response. "There is no need, no need."
*Clap!*
