To the players, many were ecstatic to find that the recruitment for Torch's Airships had pretty low requirements.
They needed to be bare minimum First Stage.
Although Torch would've preferred a number of Third Stage and above, the only continent able to produce that many players would be the West. Most of the Third Stage players in the central continent were tied up with other matters, or already affiliated with a Guild.
When he went through their applications Torch found that a majority of the Second Stage players wanted to be apart of the offensive force. Desiring to be on the frontlines. Only a few didn't mind being a supporting role.
This forced Torch to look towards the First Stage players. They held enough strength to operate the Airship decently quickly. So while they wouldn't be of much help in the actual battle, they were crucial to maintaining and operating the Airships.
