The silence was slowly consuming their thoughts. Moulin pulled the oar as he kept his eyes and ears open. The truth was, it wasn't actually that quiet. He could hear the creaking of wood as they rowed, the small splashes from the water, and droplets from stalactites falling into the water around them.
"Ao?"
Moulin and Snow exchanged gazes. He sighed in the end. "You're right. I don't think we can ignore it any longer…"
"Ao!"
On the other stern, Hadrian watched Moulin readied his bow and clutched the quiver of arrows. Without a second more to lose, Hadrian headed to the front deck.
"Be careful…" He spoke to Moulin, handing out a familiar sword sheath.
Youth nodded with a small smile, gripping the bow and sword before hurrying towards the back. He trusted Hadrian's strength. The man was strong enough to carry them out alone. Now it was Moulin's job to fend off the pests.
The darkness was immense before his eyes.
