Carl, who is standing in front of reception holding for cheeseburgers and soft drinks, stared at the receptionist with a smile.
"Ms. Potts, Mr. Carl is here for appointment should I send him up in the office."
"Appointment? With Mr. Carl? But I don't think there is an appointment today." Pepper frowned upon hearing that she has an appointment with some Mr. Carl, but she didn't know anything about it.
"Ma'am I have already confirmed it twice in system, but Mr. Carl has indeed booked an appointment at lunch time" while saying this she looked at the guy in front of her, she has worked in Stark Industries for 3 years she knows most of well known people, but the person standing in front of her doesn't look like one, he is wearing normal clothes not some big brand, holding a fast food takeaway but he is giving sort of heavy pressure which she has only seen in big bosses so she didn't dare to defy him or doubt him.
"Wait." Saying this Pepper put receptionist on hold and called her secretary in the office.
"Ma'am did you call me." Suddenly a redhead sexy woman entered the office, which looks like a professional secretary. Who else can she be, she is our legendary black widow, who is currently secretly working undercover for S.H.I E.L.D with the name of Natalie Rushman.
"Natalie is there an appointment for me today." Pepper asked Natalie.
"In my knowledge there is not, but still let me check it once." Replying professionally she took out her Tab and start browsing, but after few seconds she starts frowning and faced Pepper with a serious face.
"Ma'am there is indeed an appointment with someone named Mr. Carl Drake. But I didn't accept for it and it seems neither did you so there can only be two scenarios. First, that one of us approve of appointment but that person forgot about it. Second, is at someone invaded Stark Industries server and placed appointment himself. If it is first then it is no big deal but I think neither of us will forget an appointment. So there is a large chance that it is second scene and if it is second scene, then he is currently dangerous for you so I suggest you should call security and capture him." Nathalie faced Pepper with a serious face because as an S.H.I.E.L.D personal, she knew that in the entire world there are not many organizations that can possibly invade a security system at Stark Industries level, and even if they can, they won't do it easily because it may cause a business war or even a world war. After all for a business war at their level it is easy to affect economy of entire country.
"Send him to my office." Paper suddenly told receptionist through her communication device, to send that unknown man to her office.
When Natalie heard that Pepper has called him upstairs, she starts getting worried and just when she was about to suggest her against this decision Pepper replied on her on with a smile
"I know what you want to say, that he is Dangerous but you should also understand that this person has gone as far as to even invade Stark Industries just to find an appointment with me, which I think he can possibly get by some normal means but he still did this, then it means that he must have very important and secretive motive for coming here. But I know that I should take care of my safety, so you put entire company in red alert after he enters my office. And I don't think there are many people who are able to harm me in my own office."
Hearing this Natalie also fell silent, because she knew that it is the truth. She also believe that he doesn't dare to touch her because if something happens to her, her boyfriend will not let that organization or whatever is his backer go and that's the reason why not many people are willing to go against her, but she is still worried because she knows that there are many lunatics. But she is also helpless, since Pepper has already decided.
After hearing her boss confirmation she hurriedly took Mr. Carl with her to the office of CEO and left him there. After returning to her desk she wiped off of her sweat on her forehead, even she doesn't know that how her body was has been since he entered reception.
Carl who is currently standing in front of legendary Stark Industries CEO office. Suddenly entered the room without knocking. The first thing he saw is beautiful and sexy black widow 'well I have to admit that she is indeed beautiful with her unique red hairs' and then he looked at the chair of CEO there, she is sitting, Ms. Pepper Potts.
He set down at the sofa and faced Pepper asks curiously "aren't you worried that I will harm you" while ignoring Natalie's angry stare.
"I don't think Mr. Carl is here to harm me otherwise you will not go through so much trouble while invading Stark Industries network server just to hurt me and I think my office is already pretty safe." Pepper replied while smiling with fearless look.
"I am indeed an idiot, how can our superhero Iron Man not arrange safety for mother of his future daughter. Hahaha" Carl replied while patting his forehead.
"I wonder from which group does Mr. Carl belong to and what is the reason for your organization to have this forced meeting." Natalie who is silent for a while suddenly interjected between their soft talk.
"We will talk later about that, first come I have brought lunch for you guys." Carl said while dodging the question. Gave both of them one cheeseburger and a soft drink and took one pair for himself and start eating.
"Why you guys aren't eating, you should eat it while it's hot or it won't taste good." while happy eating he looked up and saw both of them staring at him with weird faces.
'Eateat your mother! Are you messing with us, you invaded our security system and forcefully made a meeting just to eat cheese burgers with us.' This is what pepper and Natalie currently thinking or swearing about him.
"No we have already eaten our lunch" Natalie replied, putting down burger at the table while pepper stayed silent 'god knows if there is any poison in it' so they don't dare to eat it.
Carl faced both on them; he knew that they didn't trust him so he took their burgers and soft drink and has a bite then said.
I know you don't trust me, but you shouldn't waste food like that, this time I will forgive you and eat it myself but next time don't waste it." Carl said generously.
Suddenly room fell into strange silence, both Natalie and Pepper staring at Carl who is wolfing down four cheeseburgers like a hungry ghost. While completely ignoring them. Pepper wonder whether he is here with some motive or he is here just to irritate them.
"Burp" after finishing four burgers and almost 2 liter soft drink Carl patted his bulging belly with the satisfied face. And said now I am finally knew why Tony like eating cheese burgers so much. To the extent that after returning from 3 months of hell the first thing he wants was cheeseburger. Damn, eating it is really satisfying."
Hearing him say that pepper and Natalie who is facing him with weirdly, suddenly froze in their place because, about Tony wanting to eat a cheeseburger after returning from Afghanistan, only few people know about it.
Pepper suddenly stared at him sharply.
"I know, I know, you want to ask me how I know about Tony choice about cheeseburger and how I invaded your system but I think first you should relax because I am not your enemy but a well-wisher." Call reply indifferently after seeing Pepper's sharp Eyes.
"Well let's start from the start, hello I am Carl Drake, I don't belong to any organization or anything so you should stop your wild guesses. As for my reason coming here I want Ms. Pepper to be my guarantor in a deal I will have soon, don't worry it will only have positive impact on you or you may thank me." Carl replied sharply without any previous laziness.
Natalie and Pepper stared at him with a serious face. Pepper asked.
"I think things are going wrong way, dont you think, its kind of weird, you suddenly barging here and asking me to be your guarantor, even if I overlook this, then whats in it for me."
"Yes, you are right I should give you some benefits, but what can I give, whether its money or power, you have more than me." Carl seriously thought and sudden asked Pepper. "Do you love Tony?"
"Whoa…what lo… love tony?" Suddenly hearing this question Pepper blushed and start stammering.
"Seeing her acting like this Carl laughed, thinking she is indeed cute. Hahaha alright I already have my answer. Well then let me help you in this way. When you go to Monaco, two days later with tony, there if by any chance tony decide to race, then I suggest you to take happy and Tonys suitcase to race track as soon as possible and hand his suitcase to him. It will save his life."
Saying this he stood up and starts walking out of office, but he suddenly stopped, few steps from door and looked at a park model covered in clothes. He said few words to pepper "can I look at this"
"yes, of course." Pepper replied subconsciously, obviously, she is still trying to understand his words. After getting her conformation he removed the clothes and looked at model of new element designed by Howard Stark. "Luna, scan it and store it in database."
"Yes, big brother."
