Before heading back, we discussed the best way to bring up the topic with Mister Alfredo. Mr. M then escorted me home to the palace, where he'd be staying on as a safety precaution and as one of our new mentors.
"You're right," Mr. M said, nodding. "Thinking of your grandmother and the threat of Chaos makes this less about just putting off the ceremony and more about what we have to do right now. But we have to tell him this in a strong way, not like we're scared or just don't want to do it."
"So, when should we talk to him?" I asked, feeling ready to face Mr. Alfredo now. "Tomorrow morning?"
Mr. M shook his head. "Tonight. We need to catch him off guard so he can't get ready for a fight. But first, we need a plan. Alfredo likes things done the right way."
"Alright, I'll do it my way." I said.
Mr. M looked right at me. "Can you look him in the eye and tell this big story with feeling? You have to make him believe it's from the heart."
