I awoke to the sound of my alarm clock followed by a rush of pain in my arm. That's when everything that happened came crashing into my memory like a tidal wave. I lay still in bed staring at my bandaged arm deciding on what to do.
And what the hell did Mrs Renolds mean by "I would be good for her son?"
I dragged myself out of bed deciding I would stay home. But if was going to stay home I had to prepare their breakfast and wake them up. Fifteen minutes later I made a breakfast consisting of bacon eggs and french toast.
Making my way back up the stairs I approach my parents dungeon. I knocked three times debating on opening the door when my father's voiced boomed through the door. "Leave. Go to school and don't get in trouble." I nod my head forgetting that he can't see me through the door. Said a quick goodbye and headed to my room.
I lay silent with my ear to the door waiting for the lock of the front door to click. After waiting for what felt like hours probably because I have to pee the sound came and I was finally all alone at last. Rushing to the bathroom I handle my business then head back to bed. I threw myself in between my pillows. As I started to drift off to sleep the sound of a notification ringed on my ears.
Blindly I search for my phone on my stand beside me. I felt something graze against my hand and quickly pull back. With my eyes open I find my phone and shiver at the message i received.
Unknown:
Shouldn't you be in school Mí Amor?
My hands trembled only one person called me that. Only one person that knows where I live. Only one person knows my number.
