"Here, drink some water." Nash was now inside Ashleah's room as he awkwardly said his apologies to her Father. The Emperor Adler just nodded his head as he also awkwardly laughed at the both of them. "Are you now ready to tell me what happened Nash?" Ashleah said as she slowly sat down beside him.
The man sighed deeply as he puts the glass of water in front of him, he kept on massaging his fingers. Ashleah saw and felt how unstable Nash was today. He bit his lower lip and closed his eyes as he leaned his head onto the sofa. He took another deep breath and was finally ready to speak up.
"I got there before they did the killing, it was some usual business for me. Then, something hit me like a truck when I saw the woman crying and pleading that th-they won't touch her." His voice cracked at the last part he said. "But those two men who I couldn't see their faces because they wore a mask still touched her and did horrible things. Even though I closed my eyes, I can still hear her pleading and screams. It is still lingering inside my ears."
Ashleah couldn't even master up something to comfort Nash, all she can do was slowly move closer to him and hugged him. Ashleah was patting his back as the man continued to cry and whisper that it was all his fault. "We're going to make them pay Nash, what they did was wrong. Are you really sure that you didn't see their faces? How about their built and the way they dressed? We can identify them with using that—"
"They were wearing a white shirt, and just black pants. Whole face was covered with a black mask, I don't even know how they got that idea. We were all inside the woman's room, and when I looked to my right I saw how the Father cried out and kneeled down right in front of the other 3 men. Yes, there was 5 men in total. I mean—" He stopped for a second and shook his head before drinking the last bit of the glass of water. "—I mean, I wasn't even sure if I was right. I couldn't even figure it out, everything happened so fast."
As Nash slowly remembered how everything happened. While he was riding Gab's horse, he really thought that everything was going his way to be honest. Suddenly, he felt like he was getting dizzy and it was a sign that he will be soon get transported to the place where the killing or dying of a person might happen. Soon he was inside a room, not so bright yet not so dark. He even thought that he might see another suicide attempt and would feel very sad for the person took their own lives. But sometimes things just don't get the way they thought it would be.
For he suddenly heard a woman's loud pleading. He looked around and saw a woman who crying on her knees, even begging to those men right in front of her. Her wrists were tied up with a rope, her face were full of bruises while tears kept of streaming down her face. "Please do stop this! Why are you doing this!?" She pleaded out again, Nash heard how the two men started to chuckle.
He scoffed and was about to serve them some punches, but even though he knew Nash groaned in frustration as he saw how his fist ran across their body like he was invisible, yet he was indeed invisible to them. He looked down and saw how his necklace glew even brighter when he moved to another place.
As he looked to his side, he saw another 3 men around an old man that Nash thought was the woman's father or lover. He shook his head and was about to give up but the old man cried when he felt the heavy punches that quickly touched his face. "Please do not hurt my daughter! We have not done anything bad to you!" The old man cried out making Nash realize what was happening here.
"Really, people are really devils." He chuckled as he slowly gripped onto his necklace tightly and he wished that he could do something that he should've done something. He tried punching them multiple times as they started to take advantage of the woman's body. He did everything he can, he even tried to kick them when they slowly killed the woman's Father right in front of her. He tried, but completely failed.
Nash ruffled his hair as tears started to roll down his eyes as he slowly took their souls inside his necklace. After that, the necklace stopped shining as it slowly started to fade away from the palm of his own sweaty yet trembling hands. He but his lower lips and he chuckled sadly, and continued to chuckle and finally it ended with his loud sobs inside the room.
He always try his best to not show any of his emotions. He didn't know why and what was happening, he only found himself crying and was on his way to Ashleah. The Emperor Adler quickly stopped him when he saw the Duke Deoncan crying which was very VERY rare to see.
He didn't dare to ask, he quickly walked his way to Ashleah. Emperor Adler knew for a fact that his daughter would probably calm down Duke Deoncan down. He chuckled lightly as he shook his head. "My, I do think that I would definitely have my in law soon."
Back to the present, Ashleah was now finally as ease as she felt how slowly Nash started to breathe in a stable way. The man was now fast asleep on her shoulder as Ashleah continued to caress his soft hair.
Ashleah was very proud of him. She really was, it was always how can he act so tough and yet he feels so sorry and like he was always loosing when he couldn't do anything to help. The princess closed her eyes and leaned on the sofa and sighed deeply.
"Do not worry Nash, I will help you. And soon enough you will not be the man you always were the man who couldn't do anything."
