Chapter 42 - °Forty-Two•Ever-Lasting Waterfall°

"...Arran?" the voice of an older lady called out to me. It broke me from my trance of trying to understand the magic hidden within the book. I glanced over to her just so she wouldn't think that I was ignoring her. "If you're having a hard time trying to understand, why don't you take a moment or two to walk around the forest and absorb yourself to nature?" she suggested.

"Alright," I sighed, putting the book aside and getting up, "Any suggestions on where I should go?"

She thought for a moment before her face lit up and her eyes shined as bright as ever, "Go to the Ever-Lasting Waterfall. The river above the waterfall and the pond at the bottom of the waterfall are really beautiful. The water there is just magnificent. I love the-" She said, stating every detail of the place before I cut her off, "Yeah, It is amazing but I would like to know how I could get there."

She chuckled sheepishly, "Sorry. It should be on the map in your mind. There are only about three waterfalls in this whole hidden forest, it should be the one nearest to the mansion. On the east," She explained. I nodded and left the library. Oh, did I mention that this library is really big? It's like three floors with stairs and ladders so we can take the books we desired.

We also have our own secret little compartment which will only open up if it sensed that you're the one opening it. It's really cool, I keep my magic book there. Sometimes, when I leave without keeping the book, it will teleport my book into the compartment.

I walked out of the library and headed towards my room. I have yet checked my room out. Right after I checked up on Rhea, I went straight to the library and have been there ever since. I wonder how they decorated my room. I walked up the grand staircase up to the first floor and took a right turn into a hallway. The first door was my room and I walked into it.

I took a moment to look around the room and it was absolutely stunning. The walls and floor seemed like they connected. They were in a checkers design, black and a gradient of red, blue, and purple. A large mirror was placed on the ceiling and I could see myself every time I looked up.

The opposite from the door was a large window that leads to a balcony. The view was the garden at the back of the mansion. There was an additional fountain built in the middle of the garden. Back into the room, I have my bed which was also the same theme as the wallpaper. There was a study table and then my cupboard. Multiple bedside lamp as well.

They really went all out on the decorations. I went towards my cupboard and took out an outfit and changed into that. I put on a pair of baggy leggings with a normal plain t-shirt. I brought a pair of shorts and another plain t-shirt too so I can swim around in. I don't think it will be very respectful to swim around naked as it's not really a tourist area. It might be disrespectful towards the guardian.

I put on some sandals and headed out. I haven't seen Rio all day today, but then again, I haven't been anywhere but the library and Rhea's room besides my own. I walked out the mansion and took a turn to the east of the mansion. I closed my eyes to look for the waterfall and visualized my path.

As soon as I knew which path to go, I opened my eyes and start to calm my self down and headed into the forest. I was scared going in alone but this isn't my first time going in without help and guidance. Then again those times were emergencies but now I'm going in to relief my body and mind. I walked slowly, enjoying every sound of nature. I could hear the dried leaves crush under my feet, the birds chirping and the wind brushing against the leaves.

As I enter this path, everything seems magical. The wind started to sparkle and surround me and there were butterflies flying around me and multiple species of animals running and hopping around. The end of the path was full of vines. I pushed the vines aside and got in. The first thing I saw was the Ever-Lasting Waterfall. It was glorious.

The water was so clear, it seemed like the body of water was shining. I spotted a small stone stairway up the waterfall. I immediately changed into the other outfit I brought with me and headed up the waterfall. I left my clothes beside the river, on a rock.

I climbed up the rock carefully. With each step I took, I became a little more nervous about it. I reached the top of the waterfall and got onto a rock that is on the edge of it. I took a deep breath and jumped down the waterfall. In a matter of a few seconds, my whole body splashed into the water.

My body sunk down to the bottom and I saw light emerging at the end of the waterfall. I wanted to see what it was but I don't think I have enough breath for it. I went up to the surface and took a deep breath before going back down and headed towards the light. It seemed like a little area where there are living things.

I swam towards it and got to the opening of a beautiful place. I stood on a rock right after the waterfall. It looked like a cave where I was standing, overlooking a breathtaking scenery of a humongous garden. It was another waterfall ride down to the place too.

I heard footsteps and whispers. I looked around the cave and there was no one. I decided to walk towards the edge of the waterfall in front of me and stood on the rock. A howl was heard and a familiar voice called out to me, "Arran?"
