"A dead language she spoke it without even a thought of it,"
Quetzalcoatl puffed a rush of wind that came from his nose, making the hall around them, Art's hair flung behind her, helping Shai stagger through the hallway. Shai felt the wind rushing past her, her tattered green and white dress, which Artemis loaned her, was blowing behind her, along with her long gold hair that shone behind her. As a beacon that would guide ships to land with how bright it is. Her eyes half fallen barely seeing the hallway, looking like she fought a hurricane and it was dragging her through the deeps, walking beside Art who looked more of herself a goddess of the hunt next to Shai the tattered, sounds like a parody film,
"She has…old Greek long dead" Art chuckled her mind to a time long past one would fall over the steps face in the ground with oil, the other tried to kill her with an arrow there his chest Art stopped glancing at Shai seeing that dark golden gaze on her. Knowing what Artemis was recalling before even saying it, Shai spoke,
"Dont get into your head Art…if this is an old language I cast to make the spell stop then is it the spell or is it what Dalos have done to me?"
Art stared at her contemplating her gaze trailed off to where there walking with Quetzalcoatl switching beside them, his eyes cast to the ever so often, those colorful orbs seem to follow them watching Shai limp feeling the aches in her body as his own, Shai felt there gaze, she glanced at them feeling the effect of the spell, when she heard Arts hesitant answer one she heard as holding back more than Art wanted,
"That Shai im not sure, it could have been the spell influencing you, teaching you without realizing it, using your mouth your younger as a puppet or as instincts,"
Art Noted her eyes scanning far ahead the hallway corner ahead she spotted something a looming shadow that swept just over the corner,
"So you think it's the spell?" Quetzalcoatl asked his head tilted to her eyes gleaming with predatory interest, his body weaving through the open warm air, Artimius helped Shai stagger into the end of the hallway her voice more mysterious and dark than before,
"I'm not saying that, I'm thinking of it. I have not a clue on if it was the spell or this is Dalos power or maybe memory playing part in her mind," Art stopped her green hues scanned the tiered worn down woman in her grasp, her body still brimming with power that came off her but the mind, her will was weeping for sleep, reaching out to it like a friend beckoning another,
"Or something else internally one I haven't thought about. Not yet at least I need some time to ponder it. Not with this gold light that cant hold onto her own feet much less gravity" Art explained her hand tighten on Shai and parted her a teasing smile, Quetzalcoatl chuckled his eyes lingered on Shai see her look up at Art not quite a glare but an annoyed stare that reeked of shut up im literally about to fall on my face, as she gripped onto Art, she mutters,
"Shut up…if I fall on my face I might not wake up from it..maybe just let me then, might be colder then the bed," Shai grumble her eyes drift onto Art picking up her feet stifling with them, Art let out a found chuckle her hand on her back picking her up, helping her around the corner,
"I might but I would prefer you rest in covers and not on marble" Art joker hearing the faint growl, she peered at Quetzalcoatl seeing that the serpent is staring at the entrance of the hallway, the shadow became more of a body, the figure showed in the shadows having seen the spell act so empowered touching the edge of the building he set off to find them, and here they are, seeing Shai leaning onto Art a crutch to her side keeping up the powerhouse beacon that flickered by Arts side, she looked worse then before pale from the spell with the sheen glow that cast over her skin, her eyes, hair gold that matched of light beaming off gold bars,
"Shai" The figure let out striding towards them his hand reached out clasping onto Shai's other arm picking her other side, he felt the slight tremor in Shai's arm as he lifts it over his shoulder, he glanced at Art and said,
"I saw..she did miraculously well for the first spell on parchment, made by God's. It could have been worse…" The figure queried
Art peered at him making a better grip on Shai who seem to be getting heavier her eyes where falling, her limps heavy so much that even Artemis felt Shai's weight, Art moved closer staring at The figure,
"It could have…but something happened, one that we haven't thought of" Art admitted
The figure was confused hearing it again, what they haven't thought of? They spent half the night wondering if the spell is finished to ten minutes witnessing it perform it beat his anticipations, if brushed against the building and grew into a strong barrier that the servants winds did not prevail and the arrows he knew well enough to cut through any physical matter, but not the spell, not through Shai's shield,
"What happened out there I only watched a little Art it was a big projection one I thought she wouldn't have the strength to handle just yet" The Figure inquired helping Art carrying Shai through the next set of hallways with Quetzalcoatl falling by Arts side his head titled to the observing The way her body was dragging on the ground, her eyes almost rolled into her head but by sheer will she kept the open her hand took a handful of Artemis dress and what cloak the figure had on gathered her hands, grasping onto consciousness she hears Art,
"She did more than that listening to the patterns the words that it showed she worked with my, Apollos, and Ascelpius, spell like it was her homework, frustrated but worked through" Art Explained as she looked at Shai, seeing her hair covering her face, Art felt Shai move jagged but the same, thought nothing of it. Even when Shai held a bunch of her clothes,
"This kid always hated that, homework was her enemy that was to be ignored at all costs or even burnt in my fireplace when I'm not looking,"
Art said her gaze teasing holding onto Shai peering over at him through the golden locks of gold flowing over Shai's face, covering her face as they help her through the hall closer to the room Shai is staying in, Arts gaze changed from teasing to service but that mischievous gleam still laid in her eyes, the figure stiffen from the sight feeling more pressure from Shai he held onto her tighter, his gaze flickered to her right as Art spoke,
"She said the dead language Figure, old Greek long dead,"
The figure stopped helping Shai move he stood frozen as his deep red eyes caught Art's serious greens, he felt the air he breathed in halted his eyes scanned over Artimus face for any sign she might be lying, she was not at least to him.
"One that you know of or don't?"
"It's one I remember, she spoke it into the spell, which is engraved into it now that she can use it. I'm not sure if I can get into it," Art emphasised
The figure stopped his gaze, flickering over to Shai, seeing her reaming the glow even with her body shaking as it is, he flickered to the serpent, seeing the same code of seriousness from Artimus was with him, and she the same, it was a silent acknowledgment they had heard something that wasn't truly just old greek,
"Art, Serpent, this isn't something you both haven't culminated in, this is something out of our knowledge, out of your minds, no.." The figure stopped his voice ceased when the woman in his arms shook before going limp, her body falling to the ground with a dull thud, her hand clenched to the ground as the gold glow was fading rapidly declined her hair went back to the browns that Art knew to well, however it was faint the gold blond shine, she was pale, ghastly so, she almost could hide into the floor, Arts eyes widen her hand once on her reached out taking Shai's arm letting out a worried stutter,
"Sh..Shai!"
The figure had the same reaction quickly, he grabbed onto her shoulder, lifting up her other arm, his gaze frantic, searching for any other sign that could have harmed her. None, just exhaustion . The figure pulled her up, seeing Art already doing the same,
"Shai…Shai speaks to me?" The figure let out his hand, pulled Shai back up, only to have Quetzalcoatl pick her up in his back, lying on her back, breathing heavily, pale, sweating like she was going back into a fever. When she got here. The serpent looked at them his tail whipping wildly, flying through the hallway, his head tilted to the two as he shouted to them,
"Move now, she needs rest more than I thought she was about to sink into the marble from the looks of it,"
Quetzalcoatl rushed past the hallway forward to Shai's room. The figure glanced at Art, seeing her without hesitation running beside them, her voice calling a bird a messenger, one that was a dove called upon by Apollo, she lifted her arm for it to perch and called Apollo. The figure moved his rush was more of a vanishing specter following them,
"To Shai's room now, she collapsed, she's losing color, and her glow is missing."
"Art im in the middle of something, making sure Dalos hasn't moved his army yet, but here you are asking for my assistance. She probably just collapsed from exhaustion. Set her on the bed and watch her, you know the signs, Artims."
"If you leave my apprentice to suffer alone I will hunt you down myself Apollo,"
Artemis stared at the bird like it was him, her eyes glowed hauntingly a dark green, threatening. The bird backed away as she glanced at the serpent, seeing that he had taken Shai at the door of her room at the end of the hall, the bird looked at her eyes, shining a pale gold. It chirped, but his voice came out,
"Still as frightening as ever Art, fine i will get there, but I have to ask, is that rushing wind Quetzalcoatl or the figure?"
Ar glanced behind her, caught the figure not running but like a gasp of wind following the serpent as he passed her, she hummed exclaiming her stride,
"It is both why?"
The bird went quiet for a moment, its eyes foggy. Art peered at the bird as she turned the corner into Shai's room, seeing the figure grabbing Shai off Quetzalcoatl's back. Her breathing is fast, her hair a dull brown, still, even the glow from her veins seems to halt in the process of her state. Art pulled her arm closer with the dove, its eyes clear, glowing like Apollo hearing his voice through it,
"If the figure is there, Dalos has made his move, he sent more than a dozen groups out into Shai's realm. So far, his progress is going smoothly, from what I'm looking at, he's not in the government sphere not yet, at least."
Art was walking to the bed when she stopped. Her gaze stayed on the bird, just got worse with the abhorrent news, she glared at the bird, trying to stare through it if she could at her brother, but she peered back at Shai's lain body. The figure twisted to them close to Art, he watched the bird hearing Apollo explain,
"It only appears to be a large group of scouts and then one heard marshell, it's shocking he that he took it this way, i would have thought he would be more nit picking with this,"
The figure took a step towards the bird his hand took Arts are an apologetic glance came from the figure at her, the figure then stared at the bird its eyes looked at him with a coe he heard Apollo again greeting him,
"Figuer good where you listening to all that?" the bird almost smiled at its master's voice,
"Yes..I am he already made the grand entrance into power again?" The figure let out
