The Reincarnation Wheel
POV: Richard
My name is Richard.
The last thing I remember was walking down the street when suddenly—
BAM!
A speeding truck came out of nowhere and hit me.
I thought that was the end.
But when I opened my eyes again, I wasn't in a hospital.
I wasn't even on Earth.
I was floating inside a strange, endless space filled with stars and glowing clouds.
"Where am I…?"
I looked around in confusion.
Then I noticed someone sitting on a massive throne in front of me.
Two other beings stood beside him. One looked like a god of life, while the other looked like a goddess of death.
The entire scene looked like something straight out of a manga or anime.
I swallowed nervously.
"Am I… dead?"
The man on the throne smiled.
"Indeed."
POV: Tempest
I am Tempest.
Supreme God of Creation.
Unlike ordinary gods, my responsibilities involve maintaining countless worlds and universes.
Recently, however, I created something new.
A system.
The Reincarnation Wheel.
I called the God of Life and the Goddess of Death before me.
"I've created something that could completely change the reincarnation process."
The God of Life looked interested.
"What exactly does this system do?"
I smiled.
"It allows souls to spin a wheel and receive a new life."
The Goddess of Death narrowed her eyes.
"And where do these souls go?"
"That's the interesting part."
I waved my hand, revealing countless worlds.
"People from other universes can be reincarnated into worlds inspired by the anime, manga, and stories they loved during their previous lives."
The God of Life stared at the system.
"So they can actually live inside the worlds they dreamed about?"
"Exactly."
I smiled.
"However, there is one rule. The system cannot create completely new people from nothing. The souls must come from another universe."
The Goddess of Death crossed her arms.
"You're really serious about this."
"Of course."
I looked at the countless universes.
"Now let's see what happens."
POV: Anna
My name is Anna.
My life wasn't exactly what you would call happy.
I was constantly bullied at school.
The worst part was that I worked harder than almost everyone in my classroom.
I studied.
I practiced.
I tried my best.
But no matter what I accomplished, someone always found a reason to make fun of me.
Eventually, I became exhausted.
One night, I sat alone in my room.
"I just wanted a better life…"
I stared at the pills in my hand.
I didn't really want to die.
I just wanted everything to stop.
I wanted another chance.
A better life.
A life where I could finally be happy.
After everything went dark, I felt myself leaving my body.
A mysterious figure appeared.
A black cloak.
A terrifying scythe.
The Grim Reaper.
He reached toward me.
And suddenly, my soul was pulled away.
I opened my eyes again.
I was standing in a strange place surrounded by countless other souls.
"What… is this place?"
POV: Tempest
I looked at the gathering souls.
"Listen carefully."
Everyone became silent.
"This could be the luckiest day of your existence…"
I paused.
"…or the beginning of the worst life you've ever experienced."
A giant wheel appeared behind me.
"This wheel will determine the world you are reincarnated into."
The souls stared at it.
"You could be sent into your favorite manga."
The wheel began spinning.
"Your favorite anime."
The wheel flashed with different worlds.
"Or somewhere you've never even heard of."
I smiled.
"And if you're lucky, you might even receive special abilities."
Everyone looked excited.
"Now…"
I snapped my fingers.
"Begin."
The first soul stepped forward.
One by one, they spun the wheel.
Then—
FLASH!
They disappeared in blue and gold light.
POV: Richard
I watched the strange man vanish after introducing himself.
His name was Tempest.
But he wasn't some ordinary god.
He was the Supreme God.
One by one, the souls disappeared.
Then finally…
It was my turn.
I stepped toward the wheel.
"Okay…"
I grabbed the handle.
"Let's see what I get."
I spun it.
The wheel moved faster and faster.
CLACK! CLACK! CLACK!
Then it stopped.
I looked at the result.
MY HERO ACADEMIA
My eyes widened.
"No way!"
Out of all the anime worlds I could have gotten…
It was one of my three favorite anime.
Then another message appeared.
SPECIAL POWER: SUPER SAIYAN
I froze.
"Super Saiyan?!"
That was one of the first anime powers I'd ever dreamed about.
I couldn't help smiling.
"You're kidding me…"
Then I noticed another message.
SYSTEM RESTRICTIONS APPLY.
I tilted my head.
"Restrictions?"
Before I could read anything else—
FLASH!
Blue and golden light surrounded me.
I disappeared.
POV: Richard
I opened my eyes.
I was standing inside an apartment.
I looked around.
"Where am I?"
Then memories flooded into my mind.
This world's Richard had parents.
But they were heroes who died during a battle involving All For One.
They had been innocent bystanders caught in the conflict.
Later, All Might defeated All For One, becoming one of the greatest heroes in history.
I stared at my hands.
"So this is my new life…"
Then a glowing screen appeared in front of me.
[REINCARNATION SYSTEM ACTIVATED.]
[WORLD: MY HERO ACADEMIA]
[SPECIAL POWER: SUPER SAIYAN]
[SYSTEM LEVEL: LOCKED]
I smiled.
"Looks like things are going to get interesting."
POV: Tempest
I watched Richard disappear.
"Hmm…"
I rubbed my chin.
"I hope everything works perfectly."
I turned toward the mountain of paperwork sitting on my desk.
Then I sighed.
"Unfortunately, being a Supreme God isn't all fighting monsters and creating universes."
I picked up another report.
"I still have paperwork."
I continued reviewing the reincarnation records, adjusting the system, checking dimensional stability, and making sure none of the new worlds collapsed.
"Maybe I should create more systems later."
I looked at the reports.
"But for now…"
I sighed.
"Back to work."
POV: Anna
When I opened my eyes, I was surrounded by trees.
The air was peaceful.
Birds were singing.
I looked down at myself.
"Where am I?"
Then I heard voices in the distance.
I followed them and eventually found a small village.
Everyone seemed happy.
I eventually discovered the truth.
I had been reincarnated into a world where a powerful witch had spent hundreds of years protecting a small village after living peacefully by defeating slimes.
I couldn't believe it.
"I actually got reincarnated…"
I looked toward the peaceful village.
"For once…"
I smiled.
"…maybe I can finally have the life I wanted."
Back to Richard
Meanwhile, my system was already giving me information.
Apparently, my Super Saiyan ability could grow alongside me.
The system could eventually raise my power to an absurd level.
However, there were limits.
I couldn't simply become completely unstoppable immediately.
The system allowed me to unlock only two unique Super Saiyan transformations.
That meant I had to train and earn my strength.
I wasn't complaining.
I actually liked the idea.
"If I'm going to live in this world, I might as well do it properly."
I eventually decided to take the entrance exam for U.A. High School.
And I wasn't alone.
I would be taking the exam alongside Izuku Midoriya and the other future members of Class 1-A.
I looked at the clock.
"Oh crap."
I was late.
I immediately activated my flying ability.
"Guess I'm flying there."
WHOOSH!
I launched into the sky.
My speed increased rapidly.
Buildings blurred beneath me.
I smiled.
"Definitely faster than taking the train."
POV: Tempest
From far away, I watched Richard flying toward U.A.
I smiled.
"So the experiment is working."
I opened the system's observation screen.
Richard wasn't the only reincarnated soul.
Anna was already beginning her new life.
And countless others were entering worlds they had once only dreamed about.
I leaned back in my throne.
"Let's see…"
I smiled.
"…what kind of legends they become."
The screen displayed countless worlds.
Heroes.
Villains.
Magic.
Monsters.
Gods.
And ordinary people given extraordinary second chances.
The Reincarnation Wheel had only just begun.
And nobody knew what would happen next.
