Without an invitation, she went to the dining table and sat down. She had been sick and her throat was uncomfortable, so Maverick Knight made light meals for her.
The porridge was simmered slowly on low heat; drinking it brought a genuine sense of satisfaction.
While eating, Aurora asked, "Third Master, how's your luck?"
Maverick Knight ate breakfast gracefully and unhurriedly. He lightly parted his thin lips, "Not bad."
"My luck is also not bad, but how about lending me a bit more? Then today my luck would be through the roof." Aurora laughed.
To her regret, she found out in the morning that her throat hadn't recovered.
She tried singing, but it didn't work; the hoarseness and nasal tone severely affected her pronunciation, though she was skilled with various musical instruments. Perhaps that might work.
