Aurora Blaine paused her guitar playing for a moment. Ever since she came to Solara, no one had ever said that music suited her.
Because she wasn't being herself now.
Aurora was happy inside, but she said, "Is it appropriate to say that to a business prodigy?"
"What you're good at isn't necessarily what you like," Maverick Knight said softly.
"You think I don't like finance?"
"Yes."
"Why?" Aurora pressed on.
"You're happier when you're with music."
The man's tone was light, with barely any emotion, yet every word pierced Aurora's heart.
Aurora lowered her eyes and looked at the guitar in her hands.
Indeed.
She didn't like finance; the sight of all those dense documents annoyed her. If possible, she never wanted to deal with it in her life.
But now, she had no choice but to learn.
