She slid the answer key and put the phone to her ear, "Hello."
"Where are you?" The man's voice clearly carried a hint of displeasure.
"Two of my friends came over, and I'm having dinner with them. I forgot to tell you I won't be home for dinner tonight, sorry." Aurora Blaine was so happy to see them that she forgot.
It's seven now, should not have started cooking yet?
"Did you go to the airport today to pick up your friend?" Maverick Knight asked.
"Yeah."
"When will you be back?"
"Around nine, probably." Aurora Blaine gave a time. She knew Maverick Knight was coming over in the evening to change her bandages.
He said he would come every night until her injury was healed.
The man's voice was low, just an "Hmm," revealing no emotion.
The call ended.

"Is the goddess not coming back?" Ethan Bell asked.
