Ryan Pierce didn't know what his father was thinking and assumed he was disappointed in her, "Dad, I didn't..."
"Didn't?" Mr. Pierce sighed. "I meant you're grown up. In a few years, you'll get married, and I won't be able to keep you. I can't bear it."
"Then I just won't get married." Ryan replied without thinking.
Upon hearing this, Adrian Knight looked down at her.
Ryan didn't notice Adrian's gaze, but Mr. Pierce did.
Sure enough, he has ulterior motives for his precious daughter.
"If you don't meet someone you like, then don't get married. Dad will take care of you forever. If you do meet someone..." Mr. Pierce smiled, "Then I'll personally hand you over."
"Dad, why are you suddenly bringing up this topic?" Ryan pouted.
It made things rather sentimental.
"Alright, I won't mention it anymore." Mr. Pierce turned to leave but stopped, "Adrian, come out with me for a bit."
Adrian Knight stepped forward to follow.
They went to the living room downstairs.
