The Emperor saw the hole at the base of the wall, wagged his tail happily, and dashed over.
The Princess thought he was going to play and didn't immediately chase after him.
As a result, after quite a while, the Princess still hadn't seen the happy dog come out. She went over to look, pulled aside the flowers and plants, and saw the small hole at the base of the wall. But where was the little dog's shadow?
"Lianhua! The dog ran away! It crawled through here, let's hurry and find it." the Princess said anxiously.
Lianhua hesitated for a moment because the Empress had ordered that they shouldn't go out unless necessary recently. However, this little dog was very important to the Princess and was a gift from the Empress Dowager. Surely the dog hadn't gone far; they just needed to go out quickly, find it, and come back. That shouldn't be a problem.
Lianhua quickly considered this and took the Princess out to look for the dog.
