The Emperor looked at his dog paws, utterly confused and somewhat unwilling to accept this reality.
He whimpered, burying his head between his paws.
He wanted to cry, but couldn't.
"Happy, are you washing your face? Good boy." Suddenly, the voice of the Princess resonated above his head.
The Emperor looked up and saw the Princess with a radiant smile. No! I'm not washing my face, I'm silently screaming in agony! I'm sad, I'm upset!
"Dumpling, quickly have your breakfast, then you can play with Happy afterwards." The gentle voice of the Empress sounded.
The Emperor jumped out from the dog bed and dashed toward the Empress. He wanted to take a good look at the Empress.
"Oh, is Happy hungry?" The Empress picked up Happy and placed him on the table. On the table was a dish and a bowl specifically for Happy. Inside the bowl was meat porridge, and the dish contained shredded meat.
