For a young man to have chosen to work and leave behind the corporate life and venture into the world of adventuring, he could say that the situation was as dire as Liu Guiren have stated. He had already received the Soul Sword from Narissa and yet there were countless other things that he needed to achieve in this life.
She had given him the sword by sacrificing alot of things through her Soul Sword. Her own blood was mixed into the Soul Sword, a capture of her essence and yet here he was being given it so that he could fight wolves and deal with people like Liu Guiren.
He didn't know the context of the mission given before him, but it was quite simple. If he couldn't achieve such a monumental task, well, there wasn't much that others could say. Still, the mission was frenzied and he didn't know if he had it with him to become some kind of werewolf tyrant who would go about and defeating them.
