Tall trees, thick vegetation, large birds with wingspan of about 3 meters are flying over the tree tops. Moreover there are a few extras on my view too...
There's also these....a map, compass, a calendar and clock.....wait....aren't this those something you can see from mmorpg's?
[There's even an inventory.....] How do I react with these?! This is truly a dream...that is as far as I know but is this perhaps that rumoured lucid dream where the person is aware that this is a dream? There is no freaking way....
On my view were a Map on the top left, compass on the top center, the clock and calendar is on the top right .....then there's an incoming message....huh?

Quickly inspecting my body....it was smaller than before....my looks should be the same huh...ha---------------i wonder if i should be thankful for this? I have also gained a bit of muscle compared to my middle-aged form back then.

What the heck? Am I going to war with the first few contents of the INVENTORY?
[At least i have the essentials.....food and water is provided but how the heck am i gonna eat a MRE without hot water?...uhhh....seems like i need to find some stuffs....well...let's search for a nearby water source first....then find a city, town or a village and get some info there] That is...probably the best choice after all. Specifically after reading many LNs...this was my first choice after coming here in this another world. But I have a problem it seems...
I am currently wearing my civilian outfit in this getup: a khaki shorts, some random t-shirt with a print "gaming is life" and some sandals I usually use...now this is troubling.
If this was a world of swords and magic...medieval outfit should be the sense of fashion here. I would stand out like some sore thumb or an eye sore. More likely some kind of weirdo in the eyes of the people here...
[I can't help it can i?....] I just went by with the current getup, at least I am clothed and not naked. As if I can do exhibitionism as soon as I arrive at world can I? Heck no!
Leaving the area, the number of red dots on my map is currently increasing but still...i avoided it. As they say, avoiding is better than encountering a problem you still haven't tackled before.
[I see....so the nearest place of civilization is Miruzo City.....what a weirdly named place....wait this isn't earth right?] Was there a similar name as this city in my knowledge...no there is none, but somehow why does a certain brand name pop up in the corner of my mind...
On my map, Miruzo city was 200 km away from here to the north.....the expected day for me to arrive there is at least 1 week if i walked....but i should prevent standing out so let's not use"that". And by that I mean being all that parkour stuff and the use of Titans as my main mode of transportation
As i walked, i spotted some fruits and plants that are unknown to me; they had various shapes and colour. Some looked fine...but some do not.

I stored all on inventory since time is apparently stopped inside it. Anyway why was there a grass at the tree? Strange, perhaps this is how things swing here. At least egg is not a fruit of a tree here.
And.....on my map, the nearest river is 50km away.
[Geh!....that's really far!....] Hydration is a must, but why is the river that darn far? Are the gods here perhaps challenging my will to survive? Good thing I have watched many survival videos on "Teletube" (Author: I want to avoid being sued by some company, guess I know you know what his is)
Thus i walked throughout the forest while it was still dawn. The time is 5:30 Am and the sun's brightness is starting to glow up the atmosphere.
After an hour-
Resting on a nearby stump, i sat and drank water from the water canteen. It was refreshing and sweet, probably spring water.
[Waaa--------a, i never walked this far before] Must be because my work solely comprised of sitting down on the chair and then only typing on the keyboard for hours while looking at piles of unfinished paper works and some extra sh*t going on.
Anyway back to the topic, walking for over 1 hour only got me some 30 km left till I reach the river.
*Growl-------- ah.....right. Breakfast....I haven't eaten anything yet.
Opening the inventory, i took out 5 oran berries and munched on it...sweet, though it left a blue color to my tongue,it made me remember a certain popular candy back at 1990's. What was that again?
But.....it wasn't filling for my stomach....but it's better than having none right?
As i traverse the forest, i can really smell the refreshing air and that grassy smell and the sour taste of crest fruits in my mouth.
True to say, I already felt that feeling you can get when you visit the province or another country, I visited Germany before somewhere in Eisenack or I can't remember the name. The vegetation there was thick since Germany itself is still forested. The filthy air was not present, nor the tall buildings such as the one I was working at was also not present. All the things that are surrounding me are all just trees, grass, and bushes along with some kind of small muddy pool.
[So.....how am I gonna entertain myself?.....] This occurred about 20 minutes after I started to resume the walk. The thing is...being alone on a journey is too booooooorrriiiinnnnngggg!!!!!!! Heck I am starting to talk to myself and also started to do some occasional monologue that had happened along the way.
The only thing I did while on the way, i was singing some karaoke songs i have remembered before, though I felt like it was off the tone.....it worries me though.
Arriving at the river, it was already 8:09 am, and the sun is now high....though it's now hot, but the sun's sunlight is somehow warm. At least I'm synthesizing my vitamin D. I just noticed it but I arrived here this fast despite the distance to be that far....is the MAP broken?
I then refill my canteen with the river water, it's crystal clear, and there's a horse drinking within the riverside. I remembered it before on an info graphic channel that horses don't drink dirty water...so it's safe to drink this right?
A few meters from the riverside, there are schools of freshwater fish on the water, i can spot some salmon, trouts and bass. Though there were also dangerous looking freshwater fishes.

Wow....somehow they were edible but have precautions when eaten or if being fished.
Should i make a makeshift fishing rod? Do i even have strings?hooks?.....how about spears?.....i have a knife! That should do!
Taking out the steel knife at my inventory, i then cut some nice sturdy branch and get some durable vines as to secure the knife on the branch.
Smoothing the branch, i cut its extra bark and then I split the end part and there i put my knife, using the vine I secured it in place.
[Alright!! It's done, now it's spearing time-]
Instead of directly stabbing the fish, i decide to secure the handle part with a 5 meter long vine cord. I made it into a retrievable throwing spear.
[Lets see.....theres a salmon over there...]
Throwing the spear, it landed on the water.....
*Fwooosh!..
*Splash!
Squirming for its life, the spear successfully hit the fish. I then pulled the cord and there.....a reddish brown fish known as a salmon was caught.
[I should stab the head...]
Stabbing it on the head ceased its life, i then stored it then hunted for more.

[The outcome was good,but i never thought I'd learn a skill]
Quickly, i cut the abdomen part of the Salmon and extracted the guts and whatever it was there, i also scraped the abdomen part to lessen the bitterness , then popped open the mouth. Stabbing it with a clean branch, i then stored it for now. I should make a fireplace.
Gathering some good branches, leaves, some stones and i found myself a suitable seating place....it was a tree stump.
I then arranged the stones in to a circular shape, then started to arrange the branches and put the leaves between it. Using my lighter i quickly started the fire. Then i put the skewered salmon over the fire.
This reminds me of a camping trip, the usual grilling over fire. Yet this is another world so probably it's normal here.
After some time, the fish was now cooked, the aroma was so fragrant. Truly it's the smell of a freshly caught fish and was grilled. I then take it out, blow it off to cool down and bit..
[Wahh!!!!!! It's delicious!!! But....it's bland......]
I should find salt soon, or my body will get weak due to sodium deficiency..... there should be some in the water but I don't have a pot to boil it..Haa-----
Cleaning off my messy face with the river water, I also washed the makeshift spear and extinguished the fire.
