Aimlessly driving to God knows where and arguing with myself where to spend the night, me sleeping in the office or my pent house
Haven't even been to the pent house in ages uh well..in two weeks maybe, there was nothing to go back to anyway
Still deep in thought I didn't realize I was heading to the pent house, well I guess am spending the night here then
...punching in the password and entering my house after everything that's been happening " I need a long hot bath" I muttered to myself
After changing into my sleepware I decided to step out the balcony but first 'I need a smoke' I thought silently to myself
Out on the balcony, enjoying the cool breeze that grazed lightly on my face turning sideways I saw a figure sitting on the swing she looked so lonely and lost must be the new neighbor I thought
Being one of the most sought out man in the country and the CEO of Layne Corp, Hugh Layne had people keep an eye on who and what type of people where situated around him he didn't know much about this new neighbor, at least he still had the sense to pry about personal information and family checks concerning issues like this, he just wanted to know if he or she has a clean criminal record not that he had one, but the law and people around here didn't have to know that did they?
Pushing back all thoughts about the lonely figure and going back to his study to finish off his work
Pulling out my office phone from one of the drawers in my desk and typing out random numbers
"Yes sir, how may I be of help to you" a sleepy eyed Gary answered through gritted teeth
Not that he could see the sleepy eyed assistant I just guessed and like always he was right hearing the gritting of teeth from his assistant not that he cared though
"Get me an appointment with the CEO of Cooper Industries and when I mean the CEO I mean a one on one appointment with her, Understood?"
"Yes sir "

After receiving the threat call I grew worried, not about the fact that my life was on line, which it really wasn't, something was just no adding up and I just couldn't point my fingers at what
"Ughh times like these I wish I had someone who could understand me"I muttered to myself
I hated this side of me,the side which always seems to pity, this self pity I felt, ohh how I always wanted a family I still remembered how I tried to fit in with my family members but then again the hate the had for me was on a whole different level, I miss the cheerful, naive little innocent girl I was, not this being I they turned me into,I hated feeling lonely ''ughhh" I grunted
From my side view I could feel eyes on me and then I noticed him well I couldn't see his face completely just a side view of him that I could get from where I was sitting in the swing
"Must be my next door neighbor" I muttered shrugging off all other thoughts on my mind I stood up s headed straight to my bedroom and falling face flat on my bed

Staring wide eyed at the ceiling I've been awake for 30 minutes or so, still clearly debating about sleeping in and calling an off day

Standing in front of the mirror in my Walk in closet and admiring my out 'oh boy do I look hot' I thought slightly shaking my head at myself
Wearing a maroon coloured mid length slim fitted gown that hugged my body like a second skin, with a short v neck that didn't reveal too much with a long slit at her left that ran from her thigh which showed of too much skin but instead of looking promiscious gave a well refined an elegant look taking her coat off the closet

Just in time she thought Shelly did have a knack for arriving and doing things on time
Coming out of her walk in closet and taking her black Louis Vuitton purse and pairing her outfit with her black heels and gracefully striding out to the living room to see Shelly waiting on the couch
"If you had the key why did you still ring the bell" she said dryly
"Just wanted to inform you" Shelly said smiling slightly
"Okay let's go"
Stepping into the underground garage with Shelly by her side pausing before they entered the black BMW
"I thought I said I need a low key car for now" I said eyeing Shelly
"Well Ash this is as low as I could get, and considering the fact that this is the first time your going to be meeting the shareholders and don't forget the fact that you still have a to grace the media with your presence today we don't want them to think our CEO is low on money because she came with a shabby convertible hmm?"
"Save your script of Lamentations will ya?"I said starting the engine
"Let's go the show is almost starting.." I said chuckling "we won't want them to miss the female lead would we?" Grinning playfully at my Shelly
"You know sometimes you could be too cool about certain issues" she said eyeing me warily
"Why won't I be" I exclaimed "they should she be the ones on their toes Little Miss Ashlee is out to play"
