The study floor is littered with magic tools of various effects.
These magic tools were all scavenged by Richard from the space iron rings worn by members of the Truth Society he had killed — the majority were obtained from the East Coast, with fewer from the Main Continent.
Richard doesn't really have much use for these magic tools. According to tests, the defensive strength of the magic tools, which can only defend against one or two miniature magic tracking missiles, is far inferior to his current mastery of "Achilles Armor" and "Emmsley's Shield" spells — it's better not to use them at all.
But leaving them there is a waste, selling them… he doesn't need the money either. Dismantling them for precious materials to use in some experiments seems more sensible, but he has been so busy with nuclear weapon matters that he hasn't found time.
