Trance found herself sharing a handshake with the voluptuous woman standing in front of her. An astounding for someone like Trance who scarcely meet and talk with ladies aside from her comrades. She smiled before pulling away. There she realizes that the woman doesn't have any intention of letting her go.
"Let her go, Aga," Demeter called out. Agape chuckles and released Trance from her grasp. She raised her hands then walked away. Demeter shook her head, "You just came back after your work leave and spread rainbows all around here."
"Agent 1208 is here to thank you formally and also..." Hera throw a meaningful glance at Artemis who started hitting her invisible drums with the use of her pens. Hera smiled then shook her head by the silly actions, "Pabo." She darted her attention on Trance and Nine's direction.
"Agent 1208 or we may call her Aga, is assigned under the command of Captain Artemis as part of this unit." Hera announced, melting her famous stoic face with a warm smile, "And as the Vice-Captain, I warmly welcome you as part of this unit."
"Thanks, Hera. I didn't see this coming. Nial didn't talk about this last time we met. But I'm interested in her partner. Trance Miyazaki, right?"
"Yes, I am."
"Did your brother ask you to join?"
"No, they kidnapped me. Fucking finally away from that damn Valdez."
"Oh, one of the triumvirate," Aga commented in disbelief. Trance shrugged then yanked the chair beside her to the seat. She crossed her arms so as her leg, "I don't care about him. He's annoying."
"Do you find your hatred in other men? Niall hates other men too." Aga laughed. Nine got halted from scraping her fingers using a cardboard cutter and narrowed her eyes at the woman. Trance grimaced by the sight of her bleeding hand then throw a handkerchief on her. Aga shook her head, "Sorry about that, the Headmistress is close on assigning Kai for her therapy."
"They are already driving me crazy!" Kai protested.
"I heard you lead the whole restricted class, is that true?"
"Sort of. I never sought to have plenty of luggage on my way but I got no choice."
"Are you single?" Aga asked from out of the blue, causing Artemis and Hera to choke up on their breath. Demeter and Kai cracked up while Nine stopped from slicing her hand.
"Does being in a relationship matter?"
"Oh, so single. It appears like Valdez is having a hard time catching a fish but instead he found a mermaid. That kinky bastard also got a taste in women."
"What are you talking about?"
"Are you numb or what? Valdez likes you. That's too obvious, Trance." Kai retorted.
"Well, that's weird." Nine put down the blade then licked her bleeding hand; savoring the metallic taste of a liquid as if it's the last. Trance chuckled while the others looked away knowing that can't stomach the view. Nine's brows got crease, "None of the Miyazaki wants their sakura to get tainted by someone that easy. Valdez must have got himself into the family tradition of hardship in meeting your guardian."
"The twins almost killed him and Grandpa is 50-50."
"Your bloodline is quite interesting and cool but let's proceed to our main reason to gather here," Artemis announced soon when she placed down the pen and crossed her legs. She leaned on Hera's chair then cleared her throat first.
"We're here to discuss our new mission assigned by the higher-ups for us. They assigned us for surveillance of the Korean Mafia. The loan sharks before at Aga's place are one of their lowest members."
"That's why Hera, Demeter, Aga, and I planned to lure them. Hera and I dig into their past transactions. We used someone's data who got a big debt on them."
"Identity theft." Kai whistled.
"Even how hard you tried to make it sound nicer are turning things awful. You can say it's an identity stealing instead of using that term." Demeter laughed.
"The owner died 10 years ago with his family. He poisoned his family with the rat poison and crushed LED bulbs." Nine said while wiping her fingers, "Not bad for an amateur."
"If you got a big debt and you're middle class and you got fired from the job then you'll commit that one with your family." Trance shrugged, "I don't know the whole thing, just my conclusion."
"Bing bong! You hit the bonus ring!" Nine clapped slowly, "Just a little intel gathering and some revisions helped Art and the rest on luring them."
"Trance, Demeter, and Nine played the biggest part in luring them more." Kai tugged a chair beside Nine, "Do you remember what you did that day?"
"I did not stab them, Nine did. Anyhow, I can see how is it going. Simple gang logic, if you hurt one of them, they'll all go and take their revenge."
"Perfect way to make all the dominoes fall." She said before leaning herself on the chair's backrest on her front. Her tired eyes darted on Trance, "Sacrifice a flesh then let them fall into a critical situation because you still have pawns left but use it strategically." Trance rubbed the back of her palm when shivers merges of her after hearing the blonde's words.
"Korean Mafia knows where we can find the one of the most wanted of Excalibur. Aside from that, they're wanted for exporting illegal drugs in this country." Hera explained. She raised two of her fingers with a small smile, "Two birds in one stone."
"Two birds, the Korean and Chinese mafia." Artemis commented.
"Technically, we're hunting down the Nine underground monarchs. That's why we're using some source from Underground society." Kai yanked the nearest two seat for him and Demeter, "The past people we sent out for intel never came back so we speculate that they're 99 over 1. That's why we're searching for them too." He grunted.
"It looks like Underground Society is created the foundation of the people call headaches." Trance chuckled, "Can someone please explain everything about them to me?"
"I'm not g-going t-to---tch. Aga, would you mind?" Nine massaged her temple.
"Well, the Underground Monarchs are all under the great three chiefs of Underground Society. They're also from other countries such as Brazil, United States, China, Russia, South Korea and Italy. They're known for their influence. Those Monarchs are ready to kill each other for the spot of one of the current generation of Triumvirate. The Triumvirate on the other hand, are the three chiefs. I suppose that you can think of worst of the worst thing that they might do. The in each generation, the Japanese mafia never let everyone to dethrone them till now. The other two Triumvirates are from Germany and Spain. That's why the Excalibur is carefully moving not letting civilians to get involved when something happens." Aga snatched away the cutter from Niall's hand then smiled at Trance.
"I truly congratulate you for having one wrapped around your finger, Trance." The blue-eyed lady cringed, causing Aga to laughed.
"What's their objective for that?" Trance raised a question. Her mind began to wander if there's anything beyond than money, power, or anything that a person could wished for. She believes that everyone has their own desire and looked into them as monsters. However, despite of the way of her thinking, Trance consider herself as part of society of monsters.
Once you began to blend in with them, everyone considers you as a monster.
If she's the one to ask between money and love, Trance wouldn't hesitate for money. See it coming when she rolled her eyes to the sky if she heard something. Something such as money can't buy happiness.
"They're some of them are threatened, greedy, full of wrath and envy, some has lust, prideful ass, got an unsolved gluttony of flesh with blood thirst, and last but not the least, they have incurable sloth on their rotten souls." Artemis hums, "Ring a bell?"
"Yes."
"Good, let's proceed to our next step." Artemis snapped her two fingers; causing the locks to turn on and anything that normal citizens take a way to overheard their conversation.
"Find the heir of Korean Mafia inside the School of the elites."
