The briefing room was dark and only had a small round table in its center. The table-top was a screen, and Selestine found herself staring at the crater that Quinn made once again.
Beside her, Priya spoke up.
"Well? Get on with it"
The two generals opposite them, she hadn't bothered to learn their names, looked sheepishly at them.
"We're waiting on one more," General number one said. He was a large ogre with bulking muscles.
"He'll probably take a while," General number two said, a female this time.
Priya huffed and Selestine rolled her eyes at her partner.
The door to the room suddenly burst open and the two of them turned around sharply.
"Sorry, I'm late!" General Dake spoke up with gusto. He walked forward calmly and with a wide smile on his face, but Selestine's eyes were instead focused on the hundreds of invincible strings that were already close to curling around him. If they were to tighten even the slightest bit, then there would no longer be a General Drake.
