Old Xue's face turned dark.
He slowly put down his phone, falling into complete silence.
He had never thought Qiao Nian would block his number!
But when he called just now, it hadn't even rung once before the mechanical voice said the call couldn't go through—that meant his number was blacklisted.
Realizing he'd been blocked by Qiao Nian, Old Xue had no choice. He went back to the archbishop and Luke and said, "We'll do as you said."
The archbishop had already expected this outcome. He rose leisurely to his feet, not forgetting to mock the man in the blue robe: "Old Xue, you've made up your mind? Not going to make another call and ask?"
Sure enough, Old Xue's face turned even darker, like soot at the bottom of a pot. His stiff features were even more sour as he said, "No need."
