Her eyes darted around to confirm that Faye's car was indeed parked in the courtyard before handing the key to Nolan: "Here!"
Nolan didn't take it, just smiled and said, "I'm waiting for someone. Can you take it up for me?"
Tessa thought for a moment, then nodded and followed the villa's servant inside.
But before going in, right in front of Nolan, she took a photo of herself, attached the villa's address, and sent it to Lucy Lawson, saying if anything happened to her, she should call the police directly.
A single girl, unless necessary, doesn't casually enter a stranger's house. If she must go in, she should at least inform a friend.
The spacious villa was exceptionally quiet.
