Faye wasn't angry, just casually said, "Is that so… okay, I'll have someone go back with you," then turned to Nolan Ford: "Make a call; say I want to come over for tea."
He didn't say who it was, but Nolan knew, and in front of everyone, he took out his phone and dialed the number.
Then he handed the phone to Faye, who took it and said to the two policemen, "I'm Chuck."
"Was just about to invite you for tea."
"My wife had a little accident with someone and got hurt a bit. I'm planning to take her to the hospital, but your colleagues say we need to go to the police station first."
With a few simple words, Faye handed the phone to the two policemen: "Someone wants to talk to you."
The two policemen were suspicious and a bit uneasy.
