Tessa knew that Donna Sterling wanted to use this opportunity to drive her away.
But who would be the one to actually leave was still uncertain. Maybe it would be Donna's own pitfall.
However, she also knew that if Donna dared to say such things, she must have some backing.

As soon as the two policemen arrived, from the way they exchanged glances with Donna, Tessa could tell they were acquaintances.
The people who had been in the office were all dispersed.
Because of these two policemen, everyone gathered again.
When the policemen arrived, they asked, "Who made the report?"
Autumn Sterling immediately raised her hand, "I reported it. She hit me."
Pointing at Tessa, she then began to cry sadly and pitifully.
One of the policemen said expressionlessly, "Don't cry. Rest assured, we'll take care of it."
Then he asked Tessa, knocked on the bed frame, without inquiring about what happened, and went straight to, "Why did you hit her?"
