Nora Harrow squinted her eyes, took a deep breath, but didn't feel like saying anything. Xavier Warren's gaze had turned into a black storm, looking quite intimidating.
The two stood there, silent for quite a while.
Xavier Warren walked around her towards the house, and it was raining outside, the rain had already soaked his clothes.
Nora Harrow knew he wanted to take their son away, so she quickly said, "Our son is sleeping, he's got a bit of a cold, and it's raining outside. Could he stay here tonight? I'll send him back to you tomorrow."
Xavier Warren paused, his face dark, standing straight, turned to look at Nora Harrow, his features stern and devoid of warmth.
The room suddenly became very quiet, with only the sound of their heartbeats.
Nora Harrow pursed her lips, and said again, "I brought him here because he seemed to have caught a cold, his previous illness weakened his immune system... he doesn't have strong resistance now."
