"Ah!" A scream came from the second bedroom. Qian put down her cup and walked into the room, seeing Weiwei sitting on the bed, drenched in cold sweat.
"Meiwei! He's there, he's right there!" Weiwei pointed in horror to a corner of the room.
Qian went over to hold her, gently patting her.
"It's okay, it was just a dream."
Weiwei was experiencing a flashback. After being hurt, a normal person might repetitively recall the past trauma in their mind for a period. During this time, Weiwei not only had nightmares but sometimes screamed when others touched her. These were all reactions of flashbacks.
