Bai Zhi was wiping the edge of the table absentmindedly with a napkin when she suddenly heard him speak. Her hand paused, but then she laughed, "Senior, you're really good at joking."
Lin Shen's expression turned serious, "Bai Zhi, I'm not joking, I'm serious about what I said. You should understand this in your heart, shouldn't you?"
Bai Zhi crumpled the napkin in her palm, gripping it tightly, pursing her lips softly without looking up and remaining silent.
Lin Shen carefully observed her expression and continued, "Bai Zhi, you must have guessed my feelings for you, haven't you? I like you."
"I..."
Bai Zhi faced such an unreserved confession and didn't know how to respond for a moment. She didn't understand her feelings toward Lin Shen.
Do I like him?
Not that much.
Do I hate him?
Not at all.
So, she had no way to respond immediately.
Luckily, Lin Shen didn't pressure her but patiently waited for her.
