With a heavy sound, we walked out.
I stepped out into the massive, echoing corridor of the Sunken Throne, taking a slow breath of the artificially circulated, ozone-scented air. Behind me, the steady, rhythmic clicking of heavy claws against the stone signalled Luna's arrival. She bumped her massive shoulder against my hip, letting out a long, dramatic exhale that ruffled the edge of my heavy coat.
"This place is too big for my taste. It is designed to accommodate a leviathan, yet it is currently inhabited by a woman who pretends to be small and fragile. That is just irritating."
Luna projected directly into my mind, her nose twitching as she analysed the sterile, scentless environment.
"It's designed to make you feel insignificant when you build a house this big and leave it empty; every footstep sounds like a reminder of who owns the floor. It's an intimidation tactic."
