Once Sekke and his army made sure that the devils had been neutralised, he, along with Adramelech, left the underworld.
On the outside, the few devils that had escaped the underworld before Sekke invaded were currently fighting against the Magic Knights, the Spirit Guardians and the Spade Kingdom resistance force.
The moment Adramelech saw the fight, he was intrigued by the sight.
Even other humans were able to defeat the devils of Mid-rank and a few High-rank ones as well.
"You humans do surprise me. Even being limited by mana, your kind still fight back with such conviction to win," said Adramelech.
"Mana is important, there is no denying that. But at the end of the day, it is the courage and will to fight for what is important to you with all you've got that matters," replied Sekke and looked at the battlefield.
"Even if it means fighting a losing battle? I will admit that you are overwhelmingly strong, but taking you out of the equation means that all these humans would have died at the hands of the devils," said Adramelech.
"Hey now, don't sell my friends short. Even without me, they would have won one way or the other. I just accelerated the outcome. A strong factor like me can turn the tide of the battle, sure, but a constant suppression from a regular force can calm down the tide as well. And not to mention, we too have people with amazing magic on our side," replied Sekke.
"I highly doubt that, but considering how a human like you appeared, I will accept your words....don't you need to go and help your comrades?"
"...Things are under control. I don't think my interference is needed at this point," replied Sekke and smiled.
"Yo, dumbass?"
A familiar voice came, making Sekke turn around.
"Limping after just a few days? Yami-san, are you getting weaker?" asked Sekke.
Yami was indeed limping because of being drained by the magic ritual and was being supported by Nacht and Magna.
"Me weaker? I am just like this because I decided to give these devils a handicap and let myself be a bit drained. The fight would have been over too quickly otherwise," replied Yami weakly.
Sekke snorted and tossed a fruit of life towards Yami.
Not even questioning it, Yami opened his mouth and caught the fruit in his mouth and ate it.
An instant later, Yami's body regained colour, and he was back in top condition.
"Huh? Damn. What's that thing? A new drug?" asked Yami and stretched his body.
"Leave that for now. Sekke, my devils told me that you entered the underworld? What happened in there?" asked Nacht.
"I arrived, gave them a warning. They mocked me. I ended the devils that didn't surrender," replied Sekke with a shrug.
"..."
"..."
"..."
Yami, Nacht, and the rest of the black bulls looked at Sekke, wondering if the man had gone mad and was joking in such a serious situation.
"...Seriously?" asked Nacht.
"Seriously," replied Sekke.
"...You dealt with all the devils in the underworld? On your own? Without as much as a scratch on your body?" asked Nacht and eyed Sekke from top to bottom.
"All those who didn't surrender. On that note, this is Adramelech, the only devil that did surrender. Adramelech, say hi to my squadmates," replied Sekke and introduced the devil to the Black Bulls.
"Hello," greeted the devil and lazily waved his hand.
"Huh? H-Hello. WAIT!!!! THIS IS NO TIME FOR INTRODUCTIONS!!!! YOU MEAN TO SAY ALL THE DEVILS THAT WERE IN THE UNDERWORLD ARE DEAD?!?!" asked Nacht in shock.
"...Yami-san, pick a vice-captain who is not that slow in the brain department," said Sekke with an annoyed look.
"Hm...true. Seems like being too long on an undercover mission messed with his marbles. Maybe he should opt for early retirement," said Yami and looked at Nacht with a mock worried look on his face.
"My brain is totally fine."
"That's what an insane person would say," said Sekke.
"Totally," added Yami.
Nacht looked at the two of them with an annoyed look on his face. The two swordsmen were in total sync and were messing with him.
Still being the calm and composed man he was, Nacht took a deep breath and sighed.
"Anyways, you mean to say that the threat of the highest-class devils is over us?" asked Nacht.
"Yes. That's not something you all should worry about. Only these remaining devils are the ones that are left," replied Sekke.
"And what about that devil? He is a highest-ranking devil as well," said Nacht and pointed at Adramelech.
"As Sekke mentioned, I surrendered earlier. I am not one to deal with troublesome things like revenge for my kind and all. So you can be assured that I won't be joining the battle," replied Adramelech and yawned.
Nacht looked at Adramelech with suspicion, but the sound of a clap brought his attention back to the situation at hand.
"Alright, alright. That devil is not our enemy. Right now, we have more devils to deal with," said Yami and lit a cigarette.
He took a puff and blew some smoke. He then unsheathed a wooden katana made by Vangeance's magic and pointed towards the devils.
"Black Bulls! Show these devil hell!!!!" yelled Yami and was about to jump off into the battlefield.
"Yami!!!!" A loud, angry shout grabbed their attention, causing all the black bulls to turn towards the source of the voice, only to spot Charlotte, who was pointing her hand towards Yami.
"Huh? Prickly Queen?" muttered Yami.
An instant later, the captain of Blue Rose rushed towards Yami, crushing all devils in her way.
"Huh? Is she upset that I didn't die and is coming here to kill me herself?" asked Yami.
Nacht and Sekke looked at the muscle head speechlessly.
"...You know what? F*ck it!!!" muttered Sekke and grabbed Yami's collar.
"Huh? You picking a fight with me as well?" asked Yami with a frown.
"Nope. Now off you go. YEET!"
Effortlessly, the Dark Lord lifted Yami off the ground and threw him towards Charlotte.
"Huh?!" exclaimed Charlotte, seeing a flying Yami coming towards her.
Her Briar Magic materialised into a giant hand that caught the Dark Magic user, and the moment he landed, Charlotte started checking Yami's body for any possible injuries.
"Is this what you call a dense man?" asked Adramelech.
Sekke simply nodded, making the devil nod back and focus on the awkward 'couple'.
"Alright, alright, no need to worry about the captain now. All of you go fight, I will stay back and look over you all and keep you all out of harm's way if necessary," said Sekke and shooed the other squad mates away.
Half an hour later, the war with the devils was finally over, with the humans obviously coming victorious.
Currently, Sekke was being held by the collar by Mereoleona for not taking her to the 'fun place' called the Underworld and having all the fun alone.
Secre and Mimosa each were pulling one of Sekke's ears for jumping into a dangerous place on his own.
Anna was karate chopping Sekke's head, joining in punishing the Dark Lord.
Lolopechka looked at the group with a bit of envy.
Undine looked at the worry of her host and nodded in understanding.
"Ah, I am so tired. I am now stretching my body," said Undine in a 'natural' tone and 'stretched' her body, though by 'mistake' her hand hit Lolopechka, which sent her toppling towards Sekke and the others.
"Huh? Uwaa!!!" panicked Lolopechka, tripping on her dress and falling forward.
The girls around Sekke turned towards the unfortunate queen's shout, only to see her fall on Sekke.
Sekke easily caught her and made her stand straight once again.
"Careful there, Lolopechka. You need to work more on your balance," said Sekke with a chuckle.
The queen peeked up shyly and gave a weak nod.
The other girls around him looked at the two of them with a frown.
Mereoleona was about to use her faming paw to separate the two, but 'somehow' a water ball shot out of nowhere that fizzled out the flames.
Mereoleona turned towards the water spirit, who was looking around curiously.
"Huh? That's weird? Is it about to rain?" asked the 'confused' water spirit.
"...Oh yes. Hellfire is about to rain," replied Mereoleona and cracked her knuckles towards the spirit.
"You challenging me, little girl?" asked Undine and cracked her watery knuckles in response as well.
While the two were butting heads, Sekke was freed from torment as the other girls grabbed Lolopechka and took her away.
"Phew, I got nagged a bit too much," muttered Sekke.
"I mean, they are probably still traumatised by you deciding to stay back in the shadow palace event, my other half. Hearing that you jumped straight into the Underworld probably made them panic," said Vritra.
Sekke fell silent and realised what Vritra said might be the case. He should apologise for his actions sincerely after all this is over.
Sekke made a chair and sat down. He then looked around the battlefield, checking if everything and everyone was alright.
Yuno was talking with a lady who was the queen of the Spade Kingdom and his biological mother.
Noelle and Nozel were talking, though the Captain of the Silver Eagles found it a bit awkward, but still, he was trying to mend their relationship.
Finral was talking with Langris, probably catching up for the time when Langris left the squad.
And weirdly enough, Yami was sandwiched between Vanessa and Charlotte, though the muscle head was probably unaware of what was going on.
Sekke sighed, seeing the peaceful scenes and then looked up towards the sky.
".....That battle was underwhelming," muttered Sekke.
"....I second that," added Vritra.
Currently, Exodia was on healing duty, leaving the two of them by themselves.
"Out of the three of us, only that light bulb got to blow off some steam," said Vritra.
"They were not that strong enemies in the first place....Vritra, did I shoot myself in the foot by becoming too strong? Normal fights don't seem fulfilling anymore," asked Sekke.
"Being strong is not wrong. By being strong, you have some guarantee of your safety and the safety of your loved ones. But I will agree with what you said. With someone with equal power, life can be a bit boring," replied Vritra.
"Sigh, great, where would I find a strong opponent?"
"Should we gang up on Exodia?" asked Vritra.
"Now now, let's not bully him."
"He is strong. He can handle some bullying. He is going to be too loud after today's battle, let's take that as an excuse to mess with him."
"...If he gets too loud, then we can think about that," replied Sekke, already getting a mild headache from thinking about the sun spirit's boasting.
Suddenly, Yami's and Sekke's ki sensing caught onto a familiar feeling, making the two of them look towards the sky.
"ALRIGHT, EVERYONE, I AM HERE!!!!!" yelled Asta, who was flying towards them at max speed.
The muscle twerp did a flashy landing and looked up with a confident smirk on his face.
"COME ON DEVILS!!!! I WILL DEFEAT EVERYONE OF YOU AND SAVE CAPTAIN YA-"
"Who the hell needs to be saved. Shut up," said Yami and smacked Asta's head.
"EH?!?! Captain Yami!!! You are alright?!" exclaimed Asta.
"Yes. Why? You feeling disappointed?" asked Yami with a menacing look on his face.
"N-No!!! Not at all!!! In fact, I am so glad that you are safe and sound!!!! Now let's go, Captain Yami!!!! Let's surpass our limits and deal with all the devils!!!" declared Asta with determination.
Yami sighed at the brat's words and smacked Asta once again.
"Eh?! Why?!"
"Look around, Dumbass."
Asta blinked in surprise and looked around.
The surroundings were damaged, signifying the battle that took place here.
Yuno was standing with an older lady, while giving him a stink eye.
Noelle was beside her older brother and face-palmed at Asta's entrance.
Luck, Magna, and Zora were laughing out loud at Asta's words.
Sekke was surrounded by his fiancées and Lolopechka, with the Dark Lord waving at him.
Asta instinctively waved back before turning towards Yami.
"...The fight is over?" asked Asta.
"Wow, you are so smart," replied Yami.
"..."
Asta simply blinked, not sure whether he should be happy or sad.
