At noon, Gu Kai had lunch with his father, Gu Yan.
During the meal, Gu Yan received a call from Mayor Chen. Gu Kai's eyes flickered slightly, and he lowered his head, quietly continuing his meal.

Gu Yan motioned for him to focus on eating and not to concern himself.
Gu Kai smiled faintly and continued eating leisurely.
After Gu Yan hung up the phone, Gu Kai finally asked, "Dad, what did he say to you?"
"He asked me what's going on with Wei Jingshan."
Gu Yan furrowed his brow, his tone carrying a trace of gloom.
