As the New Year's bell rang, Wen Jin, Lu Zhiyan, and Jing Xiaocha were still at Fang Zhiwei's house.
"Ah Jin, Xiaocha, let's not go back tonight. There are just enough of us—four people—to play Mahjong," Lu Zhiyan said as he came out of the kitchen with a late-night snack, addressing Wen Jin, who was sitting on the couch.
Behind him, Jing Xiaocha carried a plate of dumplings, and Fang Zhiwei followed with a tray of desserts.
Wen Jin, having just ended a phone call, stood up and followed them into the dining room. He replied nonchalantly, "I don't mind, but I'm just worried if these two girls can stay up until dawn."
"Brother Wen, you're underestimating Sister Fang and me. Not only can we last till dawn, but we might also clean out your wallets. Isn't that right, Sister Fang?"
Jing Xiaocha immediately defended herself and Fang Zhiwei. After speaking, she raised an eyebrow and cast a meaningful glance at Fang Zhiwei, nudging her to agree.
