When Gu Kai and Wen Jin reached the rooftop, they heard Fang Zhiwei yelling at Lu Zhiyan, saying she wanted to jump.
"Zhiwei!"
Hearing Gu Kai's voice, Fang Zhiwei froze.
She stared blankly at Gu Kai, who was stepping forward from behind Lu Zhiyan. Under the hazy moonlight, his figure appeared tall, graceful, and refined, his eyes filled with worry and tension as he looked at her.
Suddenly, she laughed.
The smile was tinged with sorrow as it spread across her lips. "Ah Kai, you're here."
Gu Kai's brows furrowed, the light in his inky eyes shifting, and he took a few more steps forward. As he walked past Lu Zhiyan, Fang Zhiwei, who had been staring at him intently, abruptly stopped him: "Don't come closer!"
Her tone was as cold towards him as it had been to Lu Zhiyan moments earlier, as though spring had instantly turned to winter. Her gaze sharpened, "None of you are allowed to come closer."
Gu Kai had no choice but to stop.
