-The Next Day, in the Morning-
'Fuck… I'm screwed!'
That was the only thing I could think about at this moment.
It was already the morning of the day after all the chaos of the tournament, and I was still sitting in the large armchair in the common room of the Room of Requirement, lazily reclined in it.
At some point during my late-night conversation with the girls, I ended up falling asleep, dozing off right where I was without even realizing it.
Normally, I woke up very early — a habit I had acquired thanks to my rigorous and disciplined years of training.
But after everything that had happened the night before, both my body and my mind were completely exhausted. I had only managed to stay awake yesterday through sheer force of will.
However, the moment I felt the calm, the quiet, and the safety of the Room of Requirement embracing me — combined with the comfort brought by Luna's and Fleur's presence — I finally gave in to my exhaustion.
With satisfaction and tranquility, I fell asleep. And I slept… for a long time.
After hours of deep rest, I felt my body completely recharged. And with renewed vigor, I woke up.
Unfortunately, even though I had already been awake for several minutes, I refused to open my eyes... or even move.
Now, as for the reason why I didn't want to open my eyes?
Well, that was because I still had two girls in my arms.
Just like me, Fleur and Luna had also ended up falling asleep during the night, without worrying about returning to the bedrooms prepared for them by the Room of Requirement.
Both of them had their heads resting on my shoulders, clinging tightly to me, with faint, satisfied and happy smiles on their faces.
But of course, that alone didn't explain why I was so worried and so determined to keep pretending I was asleep.
In truth, the real problem wasn't the two girls... it was the people standing right in front of us, watching us sleep together.
"Aww, they look so cute sleeping all cuddled up like that!" Penny cooed softly, with an emotional and joyful smile on her lips.
Seeing her grandson sleeping so peacefully and happily, embracing the two blonde girls, brought an affectionate and proud sparkle to the French witch's eyes.
And deep within these bright blue eyes, there was also a calculating and expectant look, and only she knew what was going on in her centuries-old mind.
"I agree with you, Penny," my mom nodded. "They really do look very cute together…"
And there was a smile on her face almost as big as the immortal woman's.
The two women weren't the only ones finding the scene cute and heartwarming.
My dad, Nick, Andy, and even Apolline displayed similar expressions, with affectionate and positive feelings radiating from them.
Almost all of the adults present felt their hearts warm as they watched the three teenagers sleeping cozily against one another.
After everything everyone had gone through yesterday, they were happy to see us so united and comfortable. The scene conveyed a comforting and safe feeling to them.
But of course, in the middle of this strange group — which clearly didn't understand the concept of privacy, or common sense — there were those who felt differently while watching us.
"Man, this is definitely blackmail material… and the good kind!" Dora commented, unable to hide her mischievous grin.
Beside her, Sirius wore exactly the same expression as the Metamorphmagus.
His playful spirit stirred within him, and remembering all the pranks I had pulled on him before, he felt this was the perfect situation to start his revenge.
Unfortunately, the pair of cousins could only lament not having a camera at this exact moment.
"Hm," Remus rubbed his chin, looking at us attentively. "They were probably too tired to go back to their beds. So they must've ended up sleeping here," he supposed.
"Thank you, Sherlock, for your totally necessary analysis of the situation," Sirius rolled his eyes sarcastically.
"I was just stating the facts," the werewolf shrugged.
As they chatted casually, still standing right in front of us, I felt a bead of sweat slide down my forehead.
This group of adults was acting so calm and relaxed, as if what they were doing wasn't completely strange.
That seriously left me stunned. And I didn't know whether to call it boldness or sheer shamelessness.
'Could you please stop staring at us?!' I begged mentally.
'Seriously, I get that you probably have nothing better to do… but do you really need to stand there watching us like a group of kidnappers waiting for their helpless victims to wake up?'
"Hey," Fleur's father called out from a little farther away from the group, drawing everyone's attention to him. "Don't you think we should, you know… wake them up?"
His narrowed eyes were fixed on me, and his face was twisted into a strange grimace, as if he had just bitten into a sour lemon.
As a father, he was definitely not very comfortable seeing his beloved daughter clinging to another man.
In fact, if it weren't for the warning looks from his wife, he would probably have already rushed forward to pull Fleur away from me.
The older women of the group, as soon as they heard Jean's suggestion, immediately turned to him with expressions of panic.
"""No!"""
At their collective shout, Mr. Delacour quickly recoiled, raising his hands in surrender.
"I-I was just asking a question…" he stammered, startled.
Unfortunately, his attempt at defense only earned him three pairs of fierce glares from my mom, Penny, and Andy.
"Gulp!" he swallowed hard.
And if anyone asked he would never admit it, but at this moment he was completely intimidated by the frightening looks of those women.
Looking at her husband, Apolline pursed her lips in disapproval.
"Jean-Pierre, can't you see how tired they are? Let them sleep a little longer. It's not like they have anything important to do today," she scolded him.
Hearing his wife call him by his name, Fleur's father knew she was upset, which meant he had already lost an argument that hadn't even begun.
"O-okay… I understand…" he murmured, lowering his head submissively.
Knowing that insisting would only earn him another scolding from his wife — and probably the promise of a night on the couch — he decided to step away, dejected.
"I just made a simple suggestion…" he muttered quietly, still not knowing what he had done wrong.
Seeing that Apolline had managed to tame… I mean, convince her husband, the other three older women nodded in satisfaction, before returning to their newly discovered favorite hobby: staring at sleeping people.
My mom's and the others' decision to let us sleep a little longer was a kind gesture, one I greatly appreciated.
But unfortunately, if their intention was not to wake us up, yelling was definitely not the best choice they could have made.
After their sudden shout, I began to feel Fleur and Luna stirring in my arms, a clear sign that they were about to wake up.
Knowing how embarrassing it would be for them to wake up in the middle of this situation, with everyone staring at us, I decided to make my heroic sacrifice of the month.
With an internal sigh, I finally stopped pretending to sleep.
I then opened my eyes slowly and lazily, as if I were waking up at this very moment.
With a nearly sleepy expression, I looked at all the people in front of me, noticing that practically all the adults were present in the common room.
"Uh… good morning," I said, trying to seem calm.
"Good morning, big boy," Sirius was the first to greet me, wearing a huge, teasing grin.
And just seeing that made me feel an almost uncontrollable urge to punch his old, irritating face.
'Consider yourself lucky that my arms are still occupied,' I narrowed my eyes at him, filing that provocation away in my mental folder of future revenge.
"Hmm…"
I heard a soft groan coming from my side, pulling me out of my thoughts.
'And here comes the awakening of the first sleeping beauty,' I thought with a resigned sigh.
Fleur, being the lightest sleeper, was the first to wake up.
She shifted slightly in my arms before opening her eyes, immediately focusing on me.
"Good morning," she said, smiling softly as she snuggled even closer into my embrace.
Her light blue, almost crystalline eyes gazed at my face affectionately, making her look like a small, loving wife.
"You know, I think this was the best night of sleep I've ever had," she commented quietly, with a tone of satisfaction and happiness.
In any other situation, this sentence would have made my heart race, leaving me incredibly happy and emotional.
But now?
Now I could only look at her helplessly.
'Please, Fleur… pay attention to your surroundings when you wake up!' I cried internally.
Feeling everyone's eyes on us, I started sweating nervously. My expression was a mix of embarrassment and silent despair.
I didn't even need to look to know that almost everyone was wearing knowing, mischievous smiles — the kind of looks people give when they think they've figured everything out.
The only exception, of course, was Fleur's father, who looked even more scowling and irritated.
He was practically seething with rage, and out of the corner of my eye I could see his hands trembling, clearly eager to grab his wand and hex me.
'Damn brat… He's stealing my little princess right under my nose!'
End.
