Rex opened his eyes.
A violent, suffocating aura instantly blasted outward from his body.
It was a concussive wave of raw, unchecked power.
Everything around him—the glass in the window frames and the walls rattled violently, threatening to shatter under the sudden spike in pressure. His crimson eyes burned with a malicious, predatory light, glaring at the empty air as if staring down an enemy he hated with every fiber of his being.
But soon, the residue of the aura dispersed as quickly as it had appeared.
And the air stilled again.
Rex blinked once, and the malicious fire in his eyes vanished entirely, replaced by a hollow, empty void.
A low, uncomfortable groan escaped his lips as every inch of his body was really sore.
