It had been an eventful night.
Rex sat on the comfortable leather single sofa and leaned his head back to rest a bit—the moment they arrived at the main office. His heart was beating too fast earlier from all the excitement, and now, once the euphoria disappeared, he was mentally exhausted.
Following him, Davina and Lilliana sat on the sofa across.
Both of them had gone through the same thing as Rex tonight, but neither seemed exhausted.
"You have endless stamina when fighting like a bull, and you're tired from a social event?"
"Let him be. He's restless when he's not raking things."
Rex groaned in return, ignoring the sisters' mean comments. He then waved his hand to gesture for the bartender, but realized that there was nobody there. Lazily, he stood up, went behind the bar, grabbed the most fortified wine nearest to him, and brought it back with three glasses.
"Sir Rex!"
A middle-aged man with a big belly approached from the side.
