She stood up, leaving Ouyang Yi, to call the two children back home.
The two children were not far from where they were talking, under clusters of lush budding shrubs. Han crouched on the ground playing with mud, while Jue sat on a low tree stump, dazed as if lost in thought.
This scene made Su Xingyu unconsciously sad. If her twin child hadn't died, she would be around their size by now, surely very cute and obedient. But who would be raising her? Would she have kids to play with beside her, just like Han and Jue...
For a moment, Su Xingyu had an illusion, as if Han and Jue were the real twins, though their facial features weren't exactly similar. Yet, their actions together created a strange sense of harmony.
Unfortunately, the child that Ouyang Yi falsely claimed had died at birth was a girl.
She couldn't possibly be Jue.
Su Xingyu shook her head to dismiss the absurd thought from her mind.
She walked up to the two children and said, "Come on, let's go home."
