As Yan Qiufeng returned to the main tent, Zhao Feihu whistled from where he was leaning against a wooden pole.
"Little General Yan is back from his little date?" he teased in a singsong voice.
"Buzz off." Yan Qiufeng glared at his friend. "Don't you have tasks to complete?"
"I already finished them. That's how long you took, chatting with Miss Wang. Or did you two go elsewhere to have some fun?" Zhao Feihu wriggled his eyebrows meaningfully. "What do you think, Lao Cui?"
"Zhao Feihu, don't talk nonsense! We only chatted, that's all!" Yan Qiufeng moved to smack Zhao Feihu, who laughed and dodged behind the pole.
Cui Jie was sitting nearby on the steps to the main tent and snacking on some roasted peanuts.
"What's that you're carrying? Miss Wang came all the way over here to give you gifts?"
Zhao Feihu perked up immediately and curiously eyed the boxes in Yan Qiufeng's arms.
