[NOUR]
When Nour walked in, there was no scent at all.
No identifying scent, save for the stench of death and heartbreak on this side of the kingdom. A part of him was worried, but then he also knew Grandma Tina wouldn't subject him to a meeting when he was running late just for the sake of it.
Whoever this was, he had to be important, and Nour was silently hoping that he wasn't a creep who capitalized on the knowledge of the first Merdel to be mated to a mere wolf.
"Anyone home?" Nour asked before stiffening instantly.
He always asked that when he walked in, and Refugio's would always be cheery while telling him to come in and join him for whatever the old man was always doing whenever Nour dropped by. But now there was no Refugio anymore.
His body was in a tent, neatly covered and awaiting burial later tomorrow when the sun came up.
Nour felt his heart shatter for the old man he would never see again.
