"Cindy," I said quietly.
"Go away Samuel," she mumbled.
"Cindy I'm Phoenix, not Samuel." I said, sneering at his name. Who was this Samuel dude anyways, and why was he waking her up?
She jumped up to a sitting position. It scared me, and I ended up jumping backward toward the wall behind me.
"Yes, I'm awake now. Oh, Phoenix it's you." She said standing up right away.
"I can hear a strange noise and it's coming from outside," I stated. "I didn't know what to do, so I woke you up. Sorry."
The sound of nails along a chalk board went again, it sounded like a dying animal. It was horrible. It didn't even look like it was morning yet. The sun wasn't up.
Cindy woke up Madison, Madison being almost dead while she slept took a good ton of shaking before she woke up.
"What is it?" She asked. The sound came again, closer to the room this time, and louder than before. Was it always getting louder, or was that just me? "My brother's horn." She said surprised. "Haven't heard that in a while. Let's go!" I started changing my shirt, while Cindy shook Antonio awake. She had a lot of strength for someone smaller than me.
Antonio woke up, rubbed his eyes and grabbed a shirt. The sound was definitely getting louder now. Was it ever going to stop? It made my skin crawl.
The girls stepped outside, and we both put on pants that we found laying near the door. The shirts just so happened to be on our blankets when we woke. The girl's clothes were probably going to be Madison's clothes.
After we finished, we stepped out and the girls went in to change their clothes. We heard them laughing and then talking in low voices. They must be having fun. I closed my eyes and relaxed. The moment I thought I was relaxed I could smell and hear the sound again. The sound was outside of the house, a bit farther into the woods, with wood burning. What was he going to have us do this early? We made it, walking all together a few minutes later to the campsite.
"Good morning class," Darien said, putting down the big looking funny shaped horn. That must have been the source of the loud noises from before. "I'm glad it works still."
"I'm surprised you still have it." Madison stated.
"Who gave it to you?" Cindy asked. The look on her face told me that she already had a guess as to who, or she already knew who it was from.
"Don't ask personal questions," Darien started. "Now to the woods to train all of you."
I turned to my wolfed self and Cindy got on. Madison and Antonio ended up walking together. I was much faster than them and constantly slowed down to match their pace. All but Darien who seemed to be holding back something.
Cindy also seemed to be hiding something from us all. Wonder what it was?
We stopped in a clearing not too far away from the house. It seemed like a mile or two. I could hear the water nearby and wanted to go. I sat and waited for the others to catch up before Cindy spoke up.
"I want to go to the river close by." She stated. I nodded.
"Fine." Darien stated. "I'll work with these two first."
I got up and Cindy pointed in the direction I could already hear the water coming from. Guess she only wanted to go because she can hear me thinking about it.
