When Xu Ke left Junyue Residence, Ye Feng was struggling to get out of bed.
"What are you doing?" Xu Ke asked, frowning.
"Just recovering a bit. I feel like I'm almost better." Ye Feng smiled, showing no sign of the sorrow from the day before.
At the Ye Family, he had learned to endure and keep a low profile. The resilience he had developed over the years only allowed him to break down once last night, not to wallow in his sorrow. Besides, he knew his time was running out, and he was desperate for his sister to live freely in the sunlight as soon as possible.
"Don't kid yourself. You call this 'almost better'?" Xu Ke curled his lip. "Your recovery isn't nearly as fast as mine. How could you possibly be better after just one night? Get back on the bed and meditate."
